Hotel was let down by a touch of paint. Window sill room 210 needs touching up, swimming pool ceiling by changing rooms entrance badly needs painting.

The bedrooms were quite shabby. The carpet was stained, the TV remote didn't work, nor did the bathroom fan and the dressing table chair was worn through. In my husband's room the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and the wall heater was very marked and dirty. Every other guest we spoke to had similar stories. To be fair, the public rooms were in a better condition.

Lovely hotel, looking tired in places Staff were very friendly & professional. Food was wonderful, thorough breakfast at the weekend was very slow, even when booking a time slot. Safe & coffee machine didn't work in room & never got fixed over 3 nights stay. Gym is very well equipped & pool is a great size for a hotel. Spa reception a bit frosty but the treatment & beauticians were perfect

We took our grandchildren for the evening. The only downside was we arrived at 6.10 and the pool for the children closed at 6. Had we known, we’d have arrived earlier. The room was a bit dated but clean and big. There were 3 beds so it was comfortable and spotless. The staff were absolutely lovely. We went in the pool the following day and it was gorgeous. The kids loved it. The products throughout were Elemis which was a luxury. We will definitely be going again.

Jeg har i gennemsnit ca. 70 hotel overnatninger om året, og dette var nok det værste jeg har været på de sidste par år. Til stedets forsvar skal det dog siges at jeg ikke benyttede mig afpil og spa faciliteterne, så dem kan jeg sf gode grunde ikke bedømme. Men selve værelset, maden og ikke mindst den dårlige betjening i restauranten var under al kritik. Maden var generel smagsløst og over tilberedt, betjeningen var langsom og der blev ikke spurgt ind til hvordan made eller andet var, man følte sig faktisk ikke velkommen. Værelset var i generel dårlig stand, skimme på væge samt i vinduerne, stolene var i laser det samme var sengen. Badeværelset var både den varme hane samt toilet rulle holderen i stykker.. Længer skal man lede efter noget så ringe, 1 * herfra kun.

Kamer en badkamer zijn prima. Bank mag worxen vernieuwd, je voelt de veren van de zitting. Ook de raamkozijnen verdienen het om vernieuwd te worden.

Spa is lovely. Hotel is quiet, but needs updating.

Room was very dated. Holes in blackout curtains letting light in. Bathroom again dated. Water very slow filling bath, soap out of reach when in bath. Bath towels very soft and big. Tea tray in weird place in wardrobe. Bed very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovley with lots of choice and full English cooked to order. Had a nice overnight stay.

We have stayed here many times , we love the grounds , the breakfast , the Spa and the staff , beds comfortable but the rooms are a little tired and need some TLC .

Half the breakfast menu costs extra, the porridge was like tepid mortar, the continental had sliced white and brown bread only, no bread buns, room 207 was baking hot with no way to cool it, the old leaded windows are characterful but completely warped and can't be closed, half the payment terminals didn't work, and the staff were friendly but inefficient.

Very friendly, dog friendly, perhaps the spa could do with being open an hour earlier at the weekend. Had a fantastic stay !

The room wasn't ready at the advised check in time due to awaiting final cleanliness check. Not sure
