The hotel was great. Large rooms, clean, and a great location. Specifically though, I need to commend the staff, who were above reproach. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would stay there again without question.

This hotel is in an excellent location and is well-appointed. The staff at this hotel are incredible. The staff on duty on August 8, when we checked in, a male and female, were very helpful and continued to be helpful the five nights we stayed at this hotel. (I'm sorry I didn't get their names although we interacted with them on numerous occasions.) They were great about giving us travel help (with bus info, calling taxis, looking up information) and just very friendly. This hotel provided you with bottles of water every day, which was very helpful in the heat. We loved our stay here. There were very nice public spaces like the lobby to hang out and there are numerous restaurants close by. A lot of the tourist attractions are just a walk away, such as the Picasso Museum, Las Ramblas, the Cathedral and the beautiful Palau de la Musica, where we attended a flamenco concert. Our stay in this hotel certainly helped make our time in Barcelona enjoyable!

Checking in was awful! Room not ready until after 5:30. We arrived early and were told check back at 1:00. Came back at 3:00, no room, no help from reception only a big I don’t know when. Checked again at 3:30, and again I don’t know. Plenty of excuses blaming guests not checking out on time , slow staff, etc… Left our phone number and asked for a call when the room Was ready and we would go have dinner. No call ever came. Finally went back after 5:30 and it was ready. Why no phone call? The fumbling reception staff fiddling with papers says, I must have lost your number. Very frustrating and disappointing!

Room was modern and the hotel had solid amenities. The location can't be beat.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hesperia Barri Gòtic! The rooms are modern, spacious, and newly updated—offering both comfort and style. The location couldn’t be more central, with countless cafés, restaurants, and many of Barcelona’s must-see sights just a short walk away. A special mention goes to Karla at the reception, who was truly exceptional. Her warm hospitality, constant smile, and genuine friendliness made us feel so welcome. She went above and beyond to assist us, sharing thoughtful tips and insider recommendations for sightseeing that really elevated our experience. The housekeeping team also deserves praise—the rooms were cleaned impeccably every evening, adding to the comfort of our stay. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

En la recepción super amables, siempre tenian agua y cafa 24 hrs, había botana y la ubicación muy buena, el último día nos toco agua fria pero de ahí en fuera todo excelente

Lovely hotel, good for getting to the beach / gothic quarter. Good facilities, all incredibly clean and working well. The staff were wonderful and helped to accommodate my request for a surprise birthday breakfast, thank you so much!

Cuando llegamos al hotel la señorita se tardó en atendernos porque su sistema estaba fallando. Tuvimos que salir a buscar algo de comer mientras nos podían asignar la habitación. Uno llega cansado del viaje y lo único que esperas es entrar lo antes posible a tu habitación. Por fin nos dieron una habitación y ya estábamos desempacando cuando la señorita de recepción nos tocó a la puerta y nos dijo que se había equivocado en asignarnos habitación y nos llevó a otra la mitad de tamaño. Apenas y la cama matrimonial cabía. La habitación era muy pequeña y luego como son entre negras y grises pues el tamaño se ve aun más reducido. Pésimo color para ponerle a una habitación tan pequeña. De verdad sentí que estaba como en la cárcel, de tan reducida qué es la habitación. Ya había leído comentarios de otros huéspedes de que las puertas del baño se ve todo y si es verdad, todo se ve. Con luz o sin luz todo se ve. El desayuno es muy básico pero no hay opción para comer proteína o vegetales. Lo único que me gusto del hotel es la cercanía a todo. Las chicas de recepción son muy amables y en la medida que pueden buscan como ayudarte. Pero si regreso a Barcelona definitivamente buscaría otra opción para hospedarme, no regreso a este hotel.

It was located in a convenient and quiet location. It was an easy drive to the port area and you can walk to aquarium and mall.

Finding the hotel was very easy and upon ario al, we were greeted by two very friendly people at the desk and were ready to answer all our questions offered their help for whatever we needed. So sad that we are. Only here for a night, but recommend this place for all! Bed was very comfortable and Roman and bathroom were very clean! Made for a very comfortable night’s rest at the beginning of our long journey through Spain!

The location, the property, the staff were all wxcellent and extremely helpful with my entire family. I especially appreciated Carla, and Mellie. Very special place.

It is perfect. Close to everything, clean and with all the extras. Great coffee all day for free, you can fill up your water bottles. We got a room with an adorable terrace somehow that is divine and the staff is wonderful. We arrived at 10 am and they let us lounge and then took our bags to stow while we toured the city. There is a floor just for you to change and chill before heading out after a long flight. We will be back here on our stop before heading home

What a lovely hotel. We’d definitely stay here again. The room was well equipped. We got a room with a balcony so it was facing a street with a few bars and restaurants and we didn’t get any of the street noise whilst we were sleeping. The location is excellent and in a great neighbourhood. We’d totally recommend sensi tapas opposite the hotel. Best food we had in Barca. One thing of note. The bathroom has one of those misted glass doors so although you can’t see too much, it doesn’t really leave much to the imagination or privacy so if that bothers you, maybe consider somewhere else.
