Sinceramente no regreso ni lo recomiendo a nadie. El concepto del hotel muy bueno igual limpieza, amabilidad, la playa buena, pero la comida Terrible, en el buffet no hay variedad de comida ninguna, siempre lo mismo, la comida fría en muchas ocasiones para no decir todo el tiempo, la calidad horrible, no hay variedad de postres, los cocteles horrible tanto en restaurantes como en el área de la piscina, no hay servicio a la playa, los muebles de las habitaciones viejos y rotos, en dos ocasiones encontré una cucaracha en la habitación. Creo que si le ponen atención a estos temas será un gran hotel. En el momento TERRIBLE

Had a wonderful time at this resort. Was perfect for us. Travelled with husband and two babies. Not too over the top but beautiful. The beach was cleaned up pretty good even if sargassum had started to get bad on a lot of Quintana Roo beaches, no issues for swimming. The area is very quiet and safe but also walking distance to playa del Carmen for a more upbeat feel. Food was good too, and all the workers were so nice. Would love to come back.

Nuestra estancia fue muy buena. El buffet principal nos encantó: la comida era muy rica y variada tanto en el desayuno como en la cena. Las bebidas de los diferentes bares también estaban bien preparadas y ricas. Sin embargo, hubo algunos detalles que podrían mejorar. La recepcionista encargada de ayudarnos con la reserva del spa y de brindarnos información general sobre el hotel fue bastante grosera. En nuestro caso, al no aceptar la reserva del spa, mostró molestia y simplemente se fue, lo cual nos pareció poco profesional. Otro aspecto a considerar es que, al momento de llegar, nos dieron una explicación rápida sobre el hotel, pero no hubo personal que nos acompañara a la habitación ni que ayudara con el equipaje. Tuvimos que llegar por nuestra cuenta. Fuera de esos detalles, el hotel es muy bonito, las instalaciones están en buen estado y la habitación se encontraba limpia, salvo por el espejo, que estaba percudido y con manchas.

The customer service was not very polite and they charged extra for many things like a spot on a sheet to clean!!! Really that are the fees included in room service normally! Really not a nice place for the vacation ,a bit stressful a 60 minutes massage ended in 45 minutes, that is money taken from customer ,not nice. When I complained nothing was done to compensate ,really bad service!

El hotel esta muy padre, parece q estas dentro de la selva, la gente super amable, las instalaciones limpias y comodas. Lo recomiendo!

Bartender at poolside bar was awesome

The greenery of the entire property was beautiful! Buffet had excellent food choices. I missed a convenient bar near the ocean that wasn’t situated in sand. The staff was available at every turn and very friendly and helpful.

That was amazing trip and beautiful resort. If you like quiet place and healthy food options that´s place for you. Playa del Carmen town is very close and you can walk wherever you can! Amazing!

The property is beautiful, felt like we were in the jungle. The staff is super friendly and was quick to respond to anything we needed. Our only issues were the shower was hit or miss with having hot water.

I love the coziness of the property. Everyone is very friendly. the food is great. It would be nice if there were maybe two more restaurant options on site. But it is a wonderful property.

We traveled as a group of friends, the beach access is great and the vibe was really cute. I would come again but I think I would pay to upgrade to have access to nicer booze and some of the fun vip seating areas. The staff were very kind and engaging. While we were there most of the guests seemed to be from Europe and while it was full, the resort didn’t feel too crowded. We also loved how easy it was to walk to 5th street and get the downtown experience without having to catch a ride.

It was a very great place to stay! Very friendly staff and great spot for all ages! Only complaint was not getting checked into our room right away because of overbooking on their part.

We stayed at the Reef Playacar for 10 days in March. We have stayed at all-inclusive resorts in the area four times now. When choosing a resort value plays a major role. There are much nicer resorts in the area but you will pay more. So you have to find the sweet spot. The stretch of the Playacar beach is one of the best beaches in Mexico, Pros: Hotel and restaurant workers were very nice. Everything was in good condition. Usually plenty of beach chairs if you got there early. The resort is smaller than the other resorts in the area which is nice. The central area where the units are located has a nice jungle feel. If you stay at the Reef Playacar you will have a good experience and will enjoy your stay. But it could be better, see below. Cons: The entertainment is poor to nonexistent. Whereas other resorts in the area have lots of singing and dancing, they have little. Two nights are discotheque only, one night is karaoke, one night had one singer and another night they had a mariachi band that was good. Very few attend. All the other resorts have much better entertainment. The food is good/OK. They had a pasta bar but the white sauce and tomato sauces lacked flavor. They had fish but it was always a soggy white fish which was just ok. We tried the Italian restaurant and the food was horrible (we came from London and spend time in Italy). The pasta was thick and overdone. My wife would not eat it. The mozzarella cheese was hard and tasteless....
