Helpful & pleasant staff. Hotel is very clean and central. It is also easy walking to local attractions. Loved the free apples every day! Only thing to watch out for in the small rooms are the legs on the end of the bed. They are a toe kicker. Ouch!

Rooms are clean and well appointed, breakfast service was disjointed with mediocre service. Bar is a great concept but very understaffed.

Very well situated hotel with friendly helpful staff. There is a very nice coffee shop next door as well. The only issue was the partially open concept bathroom. This might be good for younger couples, but not for us.

Staff, location, cleanliness is A+. It does fall short on amenities. If you want to be pampered, not a place to stay. If you want no frills clean, friendly hotel, it’s perfect.

Definitely would highly recommend this property ! The staff were all so welcoming and helpful from the moment you enter the hotel till you checked out . The location is perfect - 2 blocks from St Catherine St which is the Main Street and easy access to the Metro . The rooms are spacious and very well kept . The restaurant is a Michelin Star restaurant - We will definitely be returning to Le Germaine again !

Clean, comfortable, spacious room with adequate amenities. Nothing in the minibar was free however, not even the water.

The room was large and very clean and modern. Front desk staff friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The staff here are so helpful and friendly. This was our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The showers in some of the rooms have a glass panel to the bedroom or are open to the bedroom so may not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you want a bathroom closed off from the bedroom check first! The toilets always have a door though!

I have been a client of this Canadian chain of hotels for more than 20 years. This was my last stay with them. We had a terrible experience at the restaurant for breakfast on Easter morning. First, the staff forgot to place our order. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, we managed to draw someone's attention. After another 30 minutes of waiting, someone finally showed with the wrong order. When we indicated that this was not what we ordered, the young waiter started arguing that this is what they had for us. We finally left the restaurant without having breakfast. When we told the front desk about what happened, the person in charge mentioned that the restaurant was operated by a sub-contractor on which the hotel had very little leverage. There are many nice hotels in downtown Montreal. The sad thing is that Le Germain is not one of them anymore.
