We love this hotel, have been a few times but this wasn’t the best experience. We arrived and the pool heating was down, travel with me and my daughter and that’s the main reason we love the hotel which made it almost unusable. Then used the restaurant which was busier than normal, large roudy crowd and we were first ignored then essentially rushed out, only given 3 as when I have stayed before it had been brilliant.

Room was comfy and always clean! Staff was friendky and easy to approach

Had such a lovely time, returning in July for the ABBA tribute band! The reception staff very friendly and professional.

The under side of a public toilet seat is cleaner than this dump. Many false promises online to be greated with a room and spa you would not wash a dog in. The hotel is rank. On the upside the manager was very reasonable when giving a refund especially after i presented a pillow with blood over it

A tale of two halves. Lovely pool although long wait for towels. Food in the restaurant is exceptional. Only problem for me is access. The stair lift did not work properly. It was embarrassing to have to wait for several guests and staff to help get the contraption working. Same issue on leaving the premises. The wheelchair lift did not work. As things stand the public areas are not really wheelchair friendly. Also personally I think some areas including the room would benefit from a refurb. Some really shabby areas.

Hotel nice and clean spa area a bit grubby. Spa and gym needs some attention, dirty floors, dirty hot tub. Gym un maintained and not very welcoming

The room was mostly clean. The head of the bed was on the wall next to the lift so we were disturbed during the night. There was a small window so the room was quite dingy. Bathroom fittings were mismatched gold and silver. Shower head needed descaling. Pool area was nice but staff walked from outside door across pool area with their work boots on. Breakfast was good with wide selection. We ate in the bar in one night, staff were great and food was good. This hotel could be amazing with more care & attention to the rooms. The reception area being so grand & decorative gives a false impression.

Nice welcome, nice room and everything good, the pool area is excellent as usual, steam room had maintenance, so discount voucher given for next visit, very fair. Reception staff were very poly and helpful, rooms clean and good service. We ate in the bar a couple of times and again staff excellent and qualified food was superb.. another great stay.

Had an evening meal which was a very overcooked steak, very tough and greasy Room was old and not very clean, an unpleasant stain in the toilet pan

Bedding clean however walls had stains on , the shower was terrible it had limescale lumps popping out and parts of the blasting shower head falling off leaving bits in the tray. Very very low water pressure, several of the fire alarm standby lights not working making me question the system alertness. The corridor in the changing rooms has a huge electrical panel which due to the heat of the pool/spa was pouring with water and was very corroded. The stay wasn’t unpleasant but I would not be returning

The hotel was okay for the money. The room was nice enough and staff polite and friendly. The spa was very rundown with tiles missing from the bottom of the pool so potentially dangerous. It was also overcrowded and my treatments were cancelled at the last minute due to lack of staff. Overall not a very relaxing spa experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend the spa

Overpriced stay, old accommodation with serious reservations needs. Pool was clean and it was only positive thing about the stay. Breakfast was over priced with horrible quality. They charge you 5 star rates for 2 star service. We had three rooms there paid 120 for each and 30 extra for breakfast which was only bread and butter and lowes quality English breakfast.

The restaurant for evening meals was great. Really good food. The breakfast buffet could have had a bit more choice but was adequate

With an ecclectic, grandeur interior and period hunting lodge exterior, the Belstead Brook hotel is truly one of a kind and thats why we love it. The very clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff makes our stays all the more enjoyable.

Pool shut early not advertised, Autistic son went into a melt down as we booked for the pool which we couldn’t use that night! Three pillows to a room booked for 4 people, single duvet on the sofa bed that was two people to sleep in. Stayed many times never had an experience like it,

Room was very clean, bathroom was lagging of a hanger/hook for towels. Staff cleaned room everyday and also topped up our teas and coffee satchels that was very helpful. Spa was clean and atmospheric.

Bed was broken and even though we reported it broken when we arrived it never got fixed. We have been coming to this hotel for over 30 years and have have never found any faults so extremely disappointed in this occasion
