Lovely decor in the lobby. The room was very clean and comfortable, however being a junior suite, it would have been nice to have a fridge and air conditioning. On the whole it was a relaxing experience.

This time, the room was very good, so the stay was very nice. However, you really roll the dice here, as the standard is not the same across all rooms, so you can end up with a very substandard room directly next to the motorway, with almost no noise isolation due to very old and leaky windows. But no complaints this time

Nice Hotel would return and stay again

There was some confusion during check-in regarding our booking for three separate rooms, with guests arriving at different times. Initially, we were all given keys to the same room, and concerns were then raised about the number of occupants, as it didn’t seem clear that we were meant to be in different rooms. We were also asked to reconfirm our booking details a few times, which took a little while to resolve. It appeared to be a misunderstanding, but it did make what should have been a straightforward check-in more complicated than expected, and at times it felt like the confusion was attributed to us which set our weekend off on a poor note. That said, the hotel overall suited our needs well. The location was convenient, and the rooms were comfortable. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms.

Stayed for 2 nights with partner and older son. The room was more than accommodating for the 3 of us and very clean. Breakfast was hot and varied, full English, continental and a good range of teas, coffees and juices. There were only 2 small negatives which were paying £5 per night for parking which would put me off a long stay here and the evening staff in the restaurant. Whilst not rude they were not helpful and we had to ask for everything when it come to service, unlike the rest of the staff at breakfast and check in who couldnt be faulted. I would definitely pick here again when visiting London again.

Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Restaurant on property was nice as well. They have an incredible hamburger. I was quite impressed. The bartender was spot on with his cicktail making. Especially since i requested a drink NOT offered on their menu. Everything was Reasonably priced. Hotel has been nicely renovated. The rooms are appointed nicely and spacious. My only complaint at this property is no one ever cleaned my room. No fresh towels or clean linens. The 1st day, I did have the DND on my room door, but later changed it to "please clean," when I left... I returned around 3 hour later to an unclean room. Cleaning staff did return later, but at this time im was relaxing and didnt want to leave... Second day, I spoke directly to the cleaning lady, letting her know it was ok to do my room now.. which she acknowledged. I returned late that evening to the room uncleaned, again. Im not sure why this happened. I did inform the front desk to which they were apologetic. Overall the stay was nice.

A/c did not work in the room I stayed in.

Was planning on going out for a meal but decided to have dinner at the hotels restaurant. Was a bad choice as the pork ribs were not okay and smelt off and when the next order of chicken came it was definitely not fresh and me and my wife felt ill in the morning. This was related to hotel staff

The property was ok. The cleanliness was good. The lift to the upper levels needs updating as it was very old and soooo slow going up and down.

Everything was great except for the staff levels. The dining room, bar and even reception area seemed to be trying to function on a shortage of bodies. They did they best they could and were brilliant but it wasn't fair to see them trying to cover everything

The room was lovely & clean etc and reception staff were very welcoming. We found the service in the restaurant terrible. My son ordered Rib Eye Steak at £33 but the waitress didn’t ask how he’d like that cooked, my husband had to stop her to say erhm can he have that medium rare please. My husband ordered the duck which came out well over. We ordered a 2nd round of drinks after our starters, but they didn’t arrive until after we had finished our meal. I think there was just wasn’t enough staff serving, it was as if the bar staff were taking the food orders which would explain why no one asked about how the steak etc was to be cooked.

The room was spotless the staff were courteous. This hotel was an absolute surprise for what I what expecting. The DoubleTree by Hilton in Borehamwood is a delight. Great Room. Excellent amenities. Layout of the hotel is really nice. Room layout was great. Big floor space and incredibly comfortable. Huge TV, good channel options. Bed was very comfortable. The parking is a great plus and there is ample parking available. Nice Bar. East swift Check-in. Although they were running two events alongside hosting all the Valentines day celebrators, it did not in any way at any time feel like the number of guests was unmanaged. THE BREAKFAST. This is honestly, (and ive had a few continental breakfasts) the best hotel breakfast I have enjoyed in the UK or any country I've visited. It was so fresh, the pastry items were extremely fresh. There were so many options and all options were great. Definitely doing breaki here again. For a Saturday Valentines Day stay... we are utterly impressed. I didnt get to do a review on this visit but i am sure I will return here to do so.

I enjoyed this hotel so much that I stayed here twice in one visit. The room and bathroom were always very clean. The bed was always crisply and neatly made up every night, and fresh towels replenished - and you don't even have to inform the front desk every morning by 9AM for such service! LoL Which I appreciated very much, as usually I'm either too late or forget :-D The only issue I can think of is that the hallways were a bit noisy and the door could have been a bit more soundproof. But rowdy guests are hardly the hotel's fault.

As we booked through Hotels.com, we were made to feel unwanted, like 2nd rate customers. We celebrating my wife’s birthday, so took some wine with us to the room whilst getting ready, asked for some wine glasses to be brought up, the front desk wanted to charge us £6 just to have the glasses brought up. We were only given one towel. Water in the room was chargeable as we didn’t book through the Hilton Honors. The whole thing felt like a money grab
