I wish it would have been easier to communicate with the staff

Celebrated my birthday here and I loved my stay at this hotel. The parties were great and they even gave me little gifts for my birthday!! paid for the elite club and it was definitely worth every penny. I will definitely be back!!!!

Food was great. The pool was nice. The service was excellent. Only complaint was the entertainment wasnt what was expected.

Clean room, Staff. Amenities i wish thete was electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, There was only 1 outlet and a usb on the other side, we needed 2, But otherwise great time

One observation: the bathrooms should be cleaned better.

If you are planning to book a wedding here DON’T. I am just coming back from my son’s wedding, and the wedding planners were inexperienced, unprofessional, and accommodating. They came to the bride on the day of the wedding as she’s getting ready stating they didn’t have enough tables for all of the guests and wanted her to figure it out. They had no signage direction people where to go for cocktail hour and reception. They did not assign any tables for the brides, family and the grooms family. I could go on and on, but I would just say beware booking this site for a wedding.

Beware! The rooms have roaches! It’s odd that sites purport this property as five stars. It is an old property that doesn’t appear to have been updated in decades. The showers are old and have worms and roaches coming up through the drain. And there was an awful sewage smell in the rooms. Depending on which staff member you engaged with, you were treated with kindness or annoyance, which made for a pretty inconsistent over-all service experience. The only good thing about this location is the spa. The services were great and the therapists were amazing.

Hotel staff were great except for people at front desk You would think since they set the first impression there customer service would set the bar but that was not the case very rude and didn't want to answer questions. The rest of staff waiters house keeper everyone was top notch.

Spectacular hotel! I especially loved the hospitality of the staff; they do their best to make you feel welcome. The food was delicious and varied, the beach is beautiful, and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The entertainment was great too—I couldn't ask for more. I had everything I needed during my stay; I felt like a queen. Thank you to everyone, especially Marcos in the buffet area and Eliezer and Idaury in the entertainment area. I'll be back soon!

The resort was nice, restaurants were pretty okay, pools were great with swim up bar. A lot of different options. Theres an event at the resort every night. Ppl were full of energy. My only complaint would probably be the staff and the people there bothering/hassling you for money. The room me and my partner had was beautiful but on day 3, there was a whole on top of ceiling and peaked so much water the whole day. We had a electrician come up and fix it tho. There were also a lot of waterbugs, the power went put for about 5-10 mins on our last day. It was a lil hectic. I wouldn't be back here. This resort def just gave relaxation vibes. And if i knew i wanted to have more fun and turn up then i wouldve booked riu republica hotel. Also the hotel sets up transportation to and from hotel. But the last day, as we were waiting for out transportation at the set time it didnt come. We had to wait a whole other hour. We spoke to staff and they told us just call a cab.. mind you the cabs cost 49 and up. So we was really irritated with the unprofessionalism. But yea.

THE DINNER WAS EXCELENT.

Well it was my anniversary and birthday I emailed weeks before to let them know about it only to get there and they had us in a double bed room no decoration like I asked cause I was willing to pay. Went to the front and had to wait another 2hrs before a room was ready not decorated no welcome for the elite club member had to literally go back the next day to remind them we needed the amenities of what we paid for. Staff was wonderful and a huge hotel like this should have there own power grid. Lights kept going on and off all day then stretched into the night. Other from that not sure I’d visit another RUI
