LANGSHOTT STATEOF MIND Tudor Licious is all I can say , as whilst recumbent in my hotel room in Cannes after an early morning flight . Part of me had been. excited to leave britain the other wished I was waking slowly in the glorious four poster bed I had slept in .last night In hindsight somehow i knew it was a one of a kind hotel stay when the heavy studded door swing open onto a balcony overlooking a green algae duck.pond with two doves cooeing in contentment as the warm evening rain couldn't dampen mine or their mood . Glancing over at the silver champagne bucket filled with ice, I couldn't hold back a , you nailed it , smile as next to a welcome drizzle was a sweet powdery delight . Impressed on first sight , the decadent enclave of a suite named after the King of Kings brought pageantry to fantasy, as one couldn't help thinking that if the pond was connected to a river there would be a a royal barge waiting outside right now . As .for Manager Adam , nothing was too much trouble and opening the door onto a large granite monogrammed fireplace I swore I heard Delibes Flower duet Will be back .

Staff were great, however trying to find them sometime was painful. On my visit not sure if they were short staffed as had to wander public areas to find someone

I think the property could be managed better. There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient - I wanted to keep my drinks cold but couldn't. The bathroom amenities were very basic and no bath salts, soap by the bath area for example. The room balcony should be cleaned daily- it is full of pigeon poop. Otherwise, the property itself is lovely and historic, there's alot of potential to make this hotel a 5 star place, but you need a good management to be able to do this. The restaurant staff needs training - there were alot of things that were lacking, etc. not asking if we wanted to start with a drink, no ask if our meal was alright, and dining cutlery weren't removed after the meal before desserts, table weren't cleaned. No ask if we wanted a starter, or breads for sides, etc. Breakfast staff also needed more training. Otherwise, Natalia at front desk was very good, pleasant and friendly.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and rooms were large. Breakfast was good and the staff all very friendly and willing to assist.

Beautiful old hotel near Gatwick (10-15 min by taxi, 23 GBP). We were upgraded to the Jane Seymour room which had a lovely back balcony over looking the pond and fountain. Beautiful grounds, you can see why it's so popular for weddings! The lounge areas and bar could be updated but were very cozy. There were many tables having afternoon tea when we arrived. We had drinks and informal dinner (good fish & chips) in the lounge and were very happy. A great place to stay if flying to or from Gatwick!

We absolutely love this 500 year old manor, but especially the people, Adam, Wendy, Emma etc. thank you for our stay.

Nice clean quiet hotel ample parking

I was in this hotel over Christmas. It’s a magical place, the food was all great, and staff were great, and they do enough for the guests. Highly recommended.

Another enjoyable stay at Langshott. Staff was friendly, efficient, and kind. They allowed us to check-in early after along flight, and a little late check-out. Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced-we even had room service for dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful garden area around the Manor.

Idyllisk og koselig sted. God mat. Litt skuffende at kjøkken er stengt kl 8.30 og ingen mulighet for noe slags mat etter det. Noen personale veldig gode og profesjonelle mens noen andre var litt trege.
