I stayed at Radisson Blu Manchester Airport and overall, the experience was positive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room had excellent soundproofing – despite being directly at the airport, I couldn’t hear a single plane, which made the stay calm and relaxing.
However, there were a few issues that brought the impression down. The AC control panel was so worn that some buttons were completely missing, making it impossible to adjust the temperature without improvising with a needle from the sewing kit provided in the room. One of the floor lamps had the wrong type of low-energy bulb installed, which flickered heavily when turned on, so we ended up having to unscrew it. On top of that, there were hairs on one of the shower towels, which is something that simply should not happen at a hotel of this standard.
In summary, the hotel delivered on the essentials – great service, comfort, and impressive soundproofing – but the maintenance and housekeeping details definitely need more attention to truly match the Radisson brand expectations.
