Great room, great facilities but poor quality breakfast.

When checking in I was told renovations were going on however wasn’t told this before I booked. I had to carry my heavy bags up and down many flights of stairs, for someone who suffers with fibromyalgia this wasn’t ideal and I ended up in a lot of pain which was unpleasant for me ! Hotel also very noisy. Such a shame as I’ve stayed here a few times before and loved it hence why I returned.

The room was very clean and comfortable. However, availability of food at 9pm in the restaurant was very poor. There was nothing left for us to eat except some chips and garlic bread.

A very beautiful hotel! Clean and the beds are so comfortable! Strongly recommended!!

not a fan of village hotels just booked it as the most direct route to airport parking as event at NEC was making airport hotels expensive. Room too dark communal areas too busy. really creaky ceiling when person in room above us walked about food etc too expensive hate check in process

The room was alright, only let down was the heating was not working and there was a hair on the bed

Staff were very polite. Room I was given (203), was nice but on one of the windows the latch was broken so even when closed, I could just push it open & the other window had a terrible draft coming in. I didn’t bother to advise staff till following morning & was told all the rooms are due a refurb. Not the best or worst hotel I’ve stayed in however, the window was a security risk

Picked this hotel for its pool and paid extra for a room that included pool access. But the pool area was so rammed it was unusable (I don't mean busy, I mean all seats in the sauna and steam room full, people standing against the walls in them to use every inch of capacity and more turning away at the door when they realised there was no space). Sure, this is partially due to the January gym rush, but why sell pool access to hotel guests in advance when it's obvious there's no capacity?

Gym classes were amazing

To get to the room required taking a lift up two floors, walking around the building, then descending stairs (or taking a lift) to another floor. We originally paid extra for a better room, with spa use but the facilities were so far away this was unreasonable. The receptionist was helpful and switched us to a nearer but lesser quality room but couldn't refund the difference (even though it was a cheaper room) because the price on the day wasn't cheaper than we had paid a week or so before. It really soured our stay.

The bedroom was far too hot both nights, even though we turned tge geater down.
