The hotel had mixed reviews and I feel these were justified. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Lucy in the restaurant who helped with dietary requirements. The room was big, the view of the Todd River was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The fridge was also a good size. On the other hand little things were wrong that would not be expected for a four star hotel:the bath mat was fraying at the edges, one bath towel had a hole in, the balcony was not super clean and there was an ashtray available for smokers(surely this would cause smoke to waft into the room). The food at the restaurant was very average (vegetables overcooked etc) dietary needs were not listed on the menu and there was a shortage of dairy free items. The food was also very overpriced for what it was. The hotel felt safe which was the main thing I wanted in Alice. Overall I was comfortable in the bed, and large room, plus staff were helpful so I would stay again.

Après 1 nuit sans chauffage 12 degrés dans la chambre, changement le lendemain sans problème. Une petite compensation aurait été apprécié sachant que nous avons 2 enfants qui ont eu très froid. Personnels serviables et souriant Petit déjeuner très bien restaurant également.

Sehr freundliches Personal und eine angenehme, ruhige Atmosphäre. Das Zimmer würde aber eine Renovierung vertragen und das Bad (insbesondere die Dusche) sollte gründlicher gereinigt werden. Jetzt im Winter war es im Badezimmer zudem sehr kalt.

Tranquil yet convenient, perfect for my trip.Highly recommended.

Room was large but bizarrely had very limited storage, poorly planned. Breakfast was disappointing and evening menu very limited and poor value. Bedding was clean.

Bar lounge is amazing.

Room incredibly tired and smelt dirty and of old cigarette smoke. Towels were worn and also smelt bad. Definitely a 3 star - not 4 star. Expensive for the room and would not return.

Die Anlage ist sehr üppig, viele Pflanzen, eingesäumt und sicher, zudem gut gelegen. Eine Guest Laundry ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Essen: Frühstück ist ausreichend und gut. Das Hotel verfügt über ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant; sehr empfehlenswert. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Food fresh & varied

As soon as i arrived, the staff were so welcoming, helpful, I got upgraded. I felt very safe and the restaurant food was amazing.

Das Zimmer war angemessen sauber, das Frühstück reichhaltig. Lobend erwähnen möchte ich Bartender George, der mit seiner Freundlichkeit und seinem "good sense of humour" gute Laune versprühte.

The Mercure gives you the impression that it was once a motel that was revamped. It is not the most accessible property however it does have a swimming pool, a decent restaurant that serves a buffet breakfast and a nice dinner menu. It’s well located in a short walking distance from town.

Bar was well stocked and friendly service. The property recovered well since the floods in the area.
