Our family of four had an excellent stay. I would strongly recommend this place. It’s well located to the harbour and Fisherman’s Wharf, as well as other sites. Just a short drive away. It was very convenient to have the Denny’s restaurant on the premises. The staff were great and our 2 rooms were lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at sandman hotel. The hotel and our room were very clean, and the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating throughout our visit. Everything made us feel comfortable and welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

Needs to be updated,paint etc

This is clearly an aging property that has been brought up to date in the rooms, however, the common areas are showing definite signs that they need some TLC as well. Elevator doors didn't have sensors so any time you took a bag trolley into the elevator the door would crash into it if you didn't have it all the way in. The pool and hottub were nice additions however, those areas in particular were very dated. The rooms were comfortable however, fronting onto the highway there was quite a lot of traffic noise. Overall, for the price, the accommodation was what I expected.

The hotel is not in great condition. Major renovations should be considered.

Room was very clean, loved the little kitchenette and was able to cook a few times and have room for food in the fridge. The hottub was disappointing due to it needing a good clean and the water really causing a gross brownish scum when the jets were turned on.

Great stay

The room was pretty basic and dated. But clean. The bathroom was good with large walkin shower. The pool was good and the kids had a good time. The area is sketchy, wouldnt walk around there late at night. Early morning was fine, about a 30 minute walk to downtown.

This hotel is very clean, staff are great. Somebody always cleaning lobby etc. pool nice. I would avoid the Denny’s attached to the hotel, awful food and service .

Central to where I wanted to be and easy to navigate around Victoria from this location.

I did not like the bad smell in the room musky urine smell and the windows did not open which made things so much worse

AC worked well, hot and pool asre great, only little issue wasnthe timer only went to 5 minutes. Dennys was a good.
