Room was clean. It had a feel of being outdated and needed to be refreshed. The chemical smell from the cleaning products was overwhelming. Staff was great.

We were very pleased with Riu Playacar. The room was immaculate and tended to every day by conscientious staff. Food was plentiful and delicious and appreciated the varied menus. Always something to do for everyone. Common areas were fastidiously looked after. We are definitely planning on coming back next year.

We were a party of 10 and first time at Riu Playacar. We were given the rooms we chose on Expedia when we made our reservations, building 7 with ocean views. And the view was gorgeous! Our rooms were very clean as well as the whole resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good for a resort.

The rooms were very clean, staff was always pleasant, any requests that we made were fullfilled quickly. There was something going on everyday. The food was descent for resort food. We loved the steak house!

All around great experience. Staff is amazing, resort clean and activities available are fun. Enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!
