It would be helpful to have a TV that has hdmi ports and more sockets to use nearer to the tv

The hotel foyer and pub area are very lovely, great cosy atmosphere in the public bar, however the rooms are very outdated. Furniture in room very old and some piece was separating at the joints. The bed was old and very hard, pillows were also flat as pancakes and very uncomfortable, I had to put the bathroom towels underneath to give them some height. I could hear everything in the bathroom when they were filling up the bath, the water pressure running through the pipes in the room and the man in the bath right down to his washing and other bodily functions were like i was in the same room. The staff in the pub area was very nice and helpful as it was raining beyond belief.

Room was clean and comfortable but a little cold

The gym as it was advertised contained only one running machine, a rower, some weights and a broken bike. However the room it was in was lovely! So under used. The rooms were nice and the beds comfy but the walls are paper thin and the workmen who visit it use language which would make a sailor blush so please be aware of taking children. Otherwise nice enough, pleasant and helpful staff and the beds were firm. Also the windows opened properly. I have not seen that in a while. Breakfast was great!

Room was not great - mine was the "Westgate Suite" and was old fashioned with a TV that didn't work properly (I wasn't bothered as I didn't need it but others will be) and a shower system that looked "fancy" with various jets pointing at the body as well as the overhead but, in reality, was totally ineffective. Dinner in the bar area was bland, soggy and not very nice - I did feed back at the time and was met with a blank stare and an apology of sorts.

Helpful staff, clean room

Room was cold.heating was not on..tried to call but they didn't answer..and also when we reach there he asked for security and we paid 100 pound and the next morning when we checkout the lady said we can't give you 100 pound straight away..we need to call bank about it.and it takes 4 to 5 working days..so i mention that yesterday no one informed us about that..and she also not responding property so overall its a bad experience.

Booked this hotel last minute, first room curtain hanging off window, bath disgusting ok they upgraded me to a second room where the curtains didn’t even cover the window! Never again

Clean and tidy friendly staff

I recently stayed at this place and overall the experience was decent, but there were noticeable issues with the heaters. The room never really warmed up, even after adjusting the controls multiple times. It made the room uncomfortable, especially at night. This place has potential, but they definitely need to address the heating system before I’d consider returning.
