my wife and i returned here for the first time in 39 years, its a charming hotel. we spent our first night of our honeymoon there, the rooms are spacious and ideal for a longer stay, close to the canal, we liked it and it was good value. Thank you

TV and shower still an issue. TV reception /signal intermittant. The shower has plenty hot water but the mixer is operated in radians of twist as apposed to degrees of turn.

Hotel is dated, feels unclean in general . Bedding was clean , carpets not so much. Odd burn mark in the bath and stains on the rim. Broken tiles in the bathroom floor. Lady on reception was lovely and very helpful

Room lovely and clean, nothing was too much trouble, all staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure i had a great stay here. Will 100% stay here again 😁

when arrive the hotel looks abandoned, the halls are disgusting with food lying about and stains all over carpets. the shower did not work at all, moved room and shower was warm, the room was filthy, stains all over carpets and towels, bin not emptied from previews guest. mould on windows, receptionist did not seem to care and said there was no one else there as manager was away abroad for the week which i think was lies. checked out after the first night and refused to refund , this hotel is the worst i have stayed in and should be closed

Heating worked, wifi & TV worked. Mattress needs fluffing and sheets, although clean had stains on them. Usual shower shannanagins at getting the temp right. Breakfast was good . Staff are great.

Upon arrival, we were asked for a reference number, but the receptionist couldn’t locate our booking using the one provided. She assumed it might be under a different address, though our confirmation clearly showed this location. I eventually had to give her my surname for her to find the booking. The room is acceptable for the price, but it’s poorly lit, especially near the bathroom area, and there aren’t enough power outlets. Additionally, the shower wasn’t connected, despite there being a shower head installed. The staff member at checkout was lovely and cheerful. The location is excellent, the area is pleasant, and the room offers a beautiful view. There is also ample parking available.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room spacious. Location fine and plenty of parking. Great full English breakfast.

i booked a king size bed the bed was ripped and was made up of 2 single beds both different heights, so it was unconfutable for us both to sleep, the breakfast was under cooked bacon was pink and the sausages were pink i paid a lot of money i did not find the room worth that much i don't think i will stop there again

Was very warm in the room infact to room . And also people staying in the rooms near very loud for 2am really not good . But yh it was okay

Room was fantastic staff very helpful felt like a home from home highly recommend

The room had bodily fluids on the wall. The place looks derelict from the outside. My guest checked in and checked back out. The hotel would NOT refund for the bookings. It has now been reported to Environmental Health and Trading Standards. Do NOT book this hotel it should not be on this site
