We loved the family friendly atmosphere, and that there is a shopping center next to the hotel. There ia a laundry room, and the pool not big but perfect for a night swim.

The room is a little outdated but was clean with lots of room especially for a person on a solo trip. I would recommend this place for anyone traveling with a family or multiple people

I had a great time at the property, met a lot of locals in the area who were super friendly. Great landing spot if you have kids, there is a lot nearby and walkable. Boss frogs is literally a walkable block away, we got all our water gear here + bikes. Two blocks away there is a Safeway, Starbucks and local food truck options. All in all, the property is in a great location, the staff is super friendly, the apartment was super clean, and there’s a great path right to the beach.

Good decent, pleasant property

The place was not as advertised! Our room was so disgusting and dirty. It was a motel and completely not worth the price you pay. Our room including the living room had carpet that was so dirty with stains. The tiles in the kitchen and bathroom were dirty including the walls. There was mold in the showers. There were loose hairs on the bedding in the cabinet. The listing had air conditioning but it was just in the living room so the bedroom was so hot to sleep at night. The photos on Expedia were not what we got. They must have renovated some rooms in the photos.

Nice, clean, well-maintained property in the Wailua area, Plantation Hale Suites is located near Kapa'a and about 15-20 min from the airport. There are a number of restaurants and food places nearby, and the Suites are a five-minute walk to the beach. The Suites have pools, BBQ areas, and laundry facilities. The only "bad" thing about my stay is that the suite was not ready at the check-in time of 4:00pm; otherwise, I liked this property and would most likely stay there again.

Location, full kitchen, lanai facing the ocean so I could sit with my coffee every morning and soak in the sunrise! Love this hotel.

We liked that we could cook in the suite and it was quite. The bed was good.

Friendly staff

We had a wonderful stay, great room, close to the beach, shopping & 3 pools to choose from.

We like that it was near most of the places we wanted to visit, it was quite and calm, the only think we did not liked was the old decoration and smell.

Check in was good and early. The personnel at the front desk was professional and helpful. The facility charges a resort fee which isn’t warranted. There are few amenities to enjoy. The room is outdated with a loud in window air conditioning unit. It feels more like a roadside hotel than resort.

We loved the location, walking distance to stores and restaurants, around 15min drive to the airport. We felt the Suites are run-down and in desperate need of a refresher. Furniture in ours was old, carpets stained and generally musty and smelly… I felt the quality/price was not appropriate

This was our second stay with Plantation Hale and were met again with a friendly and helpful staff, a clean room, well maintained facilities, and a convenient and walkable area. Plantation Hale is a great home base for your stay in Kauai!

I wouldn’t say the stay was terrible. We had fun swimming in the pool and using the hot tub. The facility is worn down and had a little bit of a musty smell, and we had a cockroach in the bathroom. People at front desk were kinda nice.

The property was built in 1970. Unfortunately, the popcorn ceiling was snowing on us in the main living room. Concern that the ceiling contains asbestos. The room was in need refurbishing. Lighting in kitchen was poor. No luxury accommodation here.
