Staff was over the top friendly and helpful. Great location super close to very good bars and restaurants. Rated “Good” due to reduced resort capabilities because of renovations. Will try again one construction is finished

Hotel and rooms average. Service average. Electricity went out in the AM at time of getting ready. No generator? Made me late for plans.

We have stayed here several times and it is a great hotel and location. What we did not know ahead of time is that the hotel is under construction and several things are closed…restaurant, pool bar, spa and fitness center. Just know that ahead of time so you won’t be disappointed like we were.

Have been to hotel several times. Always a good stay

No amenities (spa, fitness center or restaurant) but still very pricey. Supposedly being remodeled but no activity seen. Rooms desperately need updating (as do elevators). There’s not much competition around so they can get away with it. Overpriced.

Actually this is what I DID NOT like. We thought we wouldn't even have to leave the hotel. However the spa and workout room was closed as was the restaurant and full service bar. The hotel was under renovation which we were NEVER told. They also said that Expedia had changed all our deluxe rooms to standard. They were being nice and moving us back to the deluxe! I doubt that very much. They did take off the amenities charge of $30 per day because we were so disappointed in what the resort had to offer

Chose this hotel for its restaurant and spa facilities as my friend, who lives in Jacksonville used them recently and recommended them. However, on arrival we were advised without apology, that both the restaurant and spa were closed for renovation. Their makeshift bar/cafe in the lobby only had beer and wine and limited food menu. Be wary as you have to pay a resort fee for a public beach and standard swimming pool with substandard facilities around it. Parking was only valet at $35 per night. At no point were we informed of any renovations or llimited facilities prior to arrival to allow us to make an informed choice on out stay. In addition, there was nothing on Expedia or the hotel website to advise of said renovations - even after our stay. I reached out to Expedia to complain who asked the hotel to compensate us but they refused. Thankfully Expedia understand the importance of customer service and offered compensation. I am sure the hotel will be lovely once the renovations are complete but right now it is sub par for the money they are charging.

Not sure what the VIP is? No one at check-in mentioned anything.

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend Labor Day getaway at One Ocean. The property was very well maintained and the staff were friendly

The only concern I had was the way the water smells I used the bottled water to brush my teeth
