Ill probably regret posting how quaint this hotel is and how helpful the staff is... Very convenient location. Clean room. Comfy bed. It is a walkup to room so keep that in mind when booking if you have an injury or mobility concern. I hope to be able to book this hotel again but will understand if it gets popular.

This was my 2nd stay at the Sohotel and it was even better this time. We had a premium room and the upgraded bathroom was so nice. The staff is always so friendly and the location is perfect for exploring lots of areas of Manhattan. The beds were so comfortable it made me want to buy a new mattress at home. They have a nice coffee and tea service in the morning which we used every day. The lobby was a great area to relax when we had some downtime between activities. Will definitely stay again when I am back in NY.

Contaminated water at this hotel! No bottled water in room and very sick for over 1 week from tap water.

They had the room ready for us. It was comfortable. The history of the place is highlighted.

Hotel sporco e senza ascensore , stanze con lenzuola che sapevano di fritto Finestra non insonorizzata e tutta notte in rumore di compressore ci ha accompagnato nella notte in bianco capire come sia possibile tutto ciò per un quattro stelle !!!!!!

The hotel has a nice vibe. People are friendly and it is close to a bunch of great restaurants.

Lobby was nice, room was bare bones, in need of maintenance and dirty. The beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. Not one picture or piece of decor in our room, it felt like a hostel. The pictures shown online are definitely selective which ones they want to show you. Hotels.com advertises the hotel had 5 bars and restaurants… they do not even have one. There are zero amenities at this hotel. You’re paying for the location and that’s it.

Very near China Town and Little Italy.

Stairs only. Super small. VERY NOISY. no amenities--not even basic toiletries.

Always great to stay here and convenient location in this part of Manhattan. Clean, quiet and comfortable room and bed.

For paying over 200 for a hotel room for a night I expect my tv to work. I expect at least some space to be able to move to the left side of the bed.

Great location for us. Nice hotel but very small room and the mattress should have been replaced a year ago easily. Very friendly staff.

Short walk to the Bowery Ballroom, subway, and a handful of highly rated restaurants nearby. Got there before the room was ready, they held our bags while we went and got lunch, got back and they had already carried our bags to our room for us. They room was very clean and the whole place was beautiful!

Room was fine, small. TV barely worked. A/C worked sometimes.

The front desk staff, particularly at check out, were very nice to deal with and accommodating.
