Great Hotel and location. Would stay again , even without air con ! Be prepared for that in the summer. It is an old Hotel so it didn’t spoil the stay - eat in the restaurant , it was expensive but nice. Had a large screen to watch the football which was a bonus. Only negative was no air con but I would still rate this Hotel 5 out of five.

The small double room (322) we had has windows facing an inner yard where the large metal cooking vent/hoods are located. The room has no aircon and we were provided with 2 floor fans but in the heatwave they were hardly effective and the windows had no breeze. The bathroom is compact and only useable for one person at a time. Rooms decorated well and in good repair, plenty of lighting options including under wall mounted side tables. Hallway floors were uneven - lumpy and bumpy carpet.

Good breakfast .parking expensive. noise at the back of hotel woke us up 2:30 /3:00am

I arrived and my first floor room was in a part of the hotel where the lift didnt go. Had 2 flights of stairs and another 8 steps up and down the landing in-between. Not easy with luggage and walking issues. Hotel did change my room to 3rd floor and lift was available. No Information sheet was in my room so I was unaware of Fire alarm test on Thursday morning. I therefore went 3 floors down fire escape stairs to find that reception then told me it was on info sheet in my room. (Not one there !!). I raised this issue with general manager and her response being.. it only went off for a few rings. . I did ask a staff member on 3rd floor what to do but unfortunately she spoke no English. Very frightening experience. I asked head of housekeeping for an information sheet when I returned to my room. Overall not a great experience or response from staff.

Well presented, central hotel. Lovely room, although very warm, a fan was provided but it was very noisy so couldn't use it during the night when it was really needed. We were woken up during the night by a delivery right outside our room which we mentioned to staff who were unaware of who it was and said they would look into it. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and tasty. We will definitely return on our next visit to Harrogate.

Disappointed that the “strict rule of no dogs in the building” was not adhered to. Unbearably hot bedroom. Brilliant parking system!

We were unlucky enough to be staying on the hottest weekend of the year. The Yorkshire is an old and apparently a listed building so there is no air conditioning and boy did we need it checking into the hotel in the middle of a record breaking heatwave with temperatures of 35oC. Amazingly, the hotel seemed to have gone out of their way to make matters even worse: - on the sun facing side of the hotel, the windows in our room were open and the curtains drawn back - there was a barely functional fan in the room - there was no fridge - no water was provided It's amazing how little the hotel had done to help with the heatwave and the incorrect things they had done like opening all the windows and curtains at hottest part of the day My advice, never ever visit this hotel if the weather if going to be hot

Brilliant location and a bonus there is parking. Staff very helpful all round. Very clean, bedroom was luxurious and decor to a high standard.

I don't eat full English breakfast but my partner enjoyed it. The fruit salad was in huge chunks and underripe. The dish of jam tasted like sugar and unsure what fruit it was supposed to be. Wallpaper was pealing and chips on wood and paintwork in room. We had to leave the car park by 11am or pay £1.50 for every extra hour even though we'd payed the two nights car parking fee. At other hotels they let us keep car in car park until leaving. A little disappointed in our stay this time.

Wow great place, rather luxurious which was nice after a long day. I stay away three nights a week working, this is one of the best I have stayed in.

Excellent all round...great location, lovely room

Staff are excellent, always polite and nothing is too much trouble. Location for the hotel is brilliant. enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back one day.

Excellent breakfast with wonderful views from the restaurant. Staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Check in was painful. Only 2 people in the queue but it seemed to take forever. I’d checked in online the day before but it didn’t seem to speed up the process. Only 1 member of staff on reception at check in. You’d think there would be a couple of people just for that hour or so. Hotel was very nice, room was clean and comfortable. Location is perfect. We would stay again.

I would have expected a proper form of ventilation to the rooms during hotel spells and general circulation of air. The lack of air conditioning made the temperature of the rooms unbearable. Please looking into seeking solutions to this problem rather than using the age of the building as a reason to stop reinvestment.

Mitten in Harrogate, direkt gegenüber von Bettys Tea Rooms — die Lage ist kaum zu toppen. Das viktorianische Gebäude hat echten Charakter, die Bar lädt zum Verweilen ein, und die Zimmer sind wirklich schön. Dass wir beim Check-in noch ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen haben, hat den Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet. Sehr gerne wieder!

The hotel was clean and tidy. Our room was quite big with a nice walk-in shower and small sitting area. Sadly, we were given a room in the middle of the hotel with no natural light. The window was boarded and blacked out and could not be opened due to its position in the hotel next to the lift. Not being able to open a window for fresh air (during the current heatwave), was tricky. We had two small fans which sadly did not help the situation. Ask for a room at the front or back of the hotel if you do want to feel claustrophobic!
