Ich habe zwei Nächte im Wingate by Wyndham Schaumburg verbracht und war insgesamt zufrieden. Für etwas über 100 Euro für zwei Nächte in der Nähe von Chicago war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich in Ordnung. Das Hotel liegt ruhig in Schaumburg, allerdings etwa 45–50 Minuten Fahrt vom Stadtzentrum entfernt – zur „Cloud Gate“ (The Bean) habe ich für das Parken dort stolze 53 Dollar bezahlt. Das Zimmer war sauber und angenehm, das Personal freundlich. Leider gab es keine klassischen Amenities wie Shampoo, Lotion oder Duschhaube, was man bei einem Kettenhotel eigentlich erwarten würde. Ein kleines Manko waren auch die etwas hellhörigen Wände bzw. Decken – ich habe abends deutlich gehört, wie jemand über mir im Zimmer herumlief. Insgesamt: Wer eine ruhige und preiswerte Übernachtung außerhalb von Chicago sucht und kein Problem mit etwas Fahrzeit hat, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Für einen direkten City-Trip würde ich aber beim nächsten Mal zentraler wohnen.

My experience at this property was not the greatest. There were dead bugs on the window ledge. My TV didn’t work for two nights. My room key stopped working a couple times, the man in the front desk was very rude and told me it was my fault because I had it next to my phone, which was not true because it was in my car the whole day. Everything in the room is pretty outdated and I had to constantly ask for shampoo and conditioner since they provide you with tiny little bottles. Also don’t let this property fool you. It’s not close to downtown Chicago.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Lobby and eating area exceptionally clean. Rooms clean. No odd smells at all in the hotel. Front desk very nice and the housekeeping did a fabulous job keeping the rooms and hotel clean.

Excellent location, right off of I-90, clean and able to walk thru the parking lot to pick up Pizza at Papa Johns, meal at Amazon Market. Clean, friendly staff, Excellent breakfast! We will be back!

The rooms were decent size. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom only had a dim light around the mirror.

Check in was fine, room was dirty, sheets smelled like cigarettes and someone that needed to shower. Manager changed the sheets but I will not stay at the property again.

Perfect for a weekend in Chicago! Only one EV Charger worked, we got lucky and were able to use it all weekend. The front desk was very helpful with food recommendations and super friendly. Our toilet became backed up and they immediately offered us another room. The only detractor would be that you can hear people in the hallway and anyone above you. It didn’t bother us that much, but people should know.

The property is a little older but well kept. My only true complaint was the wifi was not the best and our refrigerator didn’t get cold. Other than that it was a pleasant experience

Breakfast was good. but, it happened to eat spoiled apple 3days inlow.

It was a good stay.

Quite disappointing, actually. The toilet had a broken bolt, the bathroom smelled intensely like cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room, & the room was not cleaned. We also had to ask for toilet paper, since there was only one roll in the room. Our biggest complaint of all though, is that we were under the understanding that this was a pet friendly hotel when we made our reservation. However, upon speaking on the phone with a man at the front desk, I was informed that they do not allow pets under any circumstances. So, I was NOT able to travel there with my husband, due to the pet policy, & the lack of flexibility of the hotel staff. We will NOT stay at that hotel again. I believe hotels.com is also responsible, since I specifically clicked " pet friendly hotels " before I ever made thae reservation. I don't understand how this mistake happened!

First off, the room size was nice. The issues were as follows: 1. There was no hot water at the sinks. Shaving with icy water was no fun. 2. When I brought this up with management, they said they had no one to fix it until Monday…the day after I was leaving…so they gave me a voucher for a free snack. 🙄 3. The TV showed ‘no signal’ on half the channels. Again I informed management but it was never addressed. 4. Despite asking them to make up the room , housekeeping didn’t visit for the first two days of my 4 day stay. That meant no refreshing of the coffee station, no fresh towels. Didn’t even get a snack voucher for this. Overall, the facility was decent, but the service was poor and the offer of a ‘snack voucher’ for 4 days of no hot water at the sinks was insulting.

We will definitely be back here. The place was very clean, with only very few minor things that bothered me but might not bother you. Nothing major at all! The breakfast has a generous amount of options to choose from. The staff were all very friendly as well. The hotel is in a convenient location with many things to do and places to eat.
