Staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff were most helpful -- from the valets and baggage handlers with the curbside greeting to the helpful staff at the front desk, every staff member we encountered was kind, patient, and helpful. I spent some time in the confortable lounge area near the lobby and observed the manager Ricardo and staff members attention to detail from tending to the coffee/tea bar to arranging the pillows on the leather sofas to cleaning the business work stations after each use. They gave goof recommendations for parking, restaurants, and activities. The bike tour of the city was so enjoyable. Our room was stylish with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom - rainfall shower, dimmable lighting, and lots of towels. The pillows were a touch too soft but we didn't even ask staff about them because we slept so well that we didn't mind that. The location was just amazing and the rooftop restaurant was nothing short of spectacular - both the food and the ambiance! Next time we are in Montreal, we'll stay here again.

I booked a 7th floor suite with a balcony. The room was perfect, clean with a nice outdoor patio. However, the mattress on the bed was horrible. I did not sleep a wink all night. When i checked out, I mentioned it to the reception and they noted it. No effort to compensate me for the inconvenience. Quite honestly, I have stayed here at least half a dozen times and had good experiences. After this sleepless night, I do not think I will stay here again. The quality of the mattress is not expected in a $700 a night room. Reputations are made by many acts and lost by one !!

Didn’t get balcony as Expedia asked I should have got. Drinks on rooftop hard to get. Not good. Overpriced. Downstairs bar was friendly. Good drinks. Excellent showers in room. I’d recommend this hotel to healthy guests because elevator was down and my elderly family member had to walk 4 flights of stairs to get to room.

Location was unbelievable. Though the location of the elevator was a little uncomfortable but understandable for the price we got it at.

The location so close to the Place d'Armes was great - we enjoyed the live performers, and the proximity to the downtown, Vieux Port etc. It's also a short walk to the Metro, so very convenient. The room (a junior suite) was beautiful with high ceilings, nice sitting area, big windows and an enormous bathroom. There were chocolates to welcome us, and a turndown service on our first night. There was an issue with the elevator which made it exceptionally slow, so we eventually switched to using the ones right at the reception area, once we figured out the layout of the hotel - it was much faster and more efficient. There was no ice machine on the floors, so we had to call the front desk - but the phones didn't work! However, after speaking with reception, a bucket of ice was sent up, and later a technician checked the phones - pressing the 'speaker' button was a good workaround to get it working. The pull-out couch was convenient for the evening our adult son stayed over - though it wouldn't rate so highly for comfort. But our bed was perfect, the toiletries and Nespresso machine were much appreciated (stir sticks would be a nice addition). We enjoyed a meal on the rooftop terrace - more for the atmosphere than the food, though it was decent. The staff were friendly and supportive and we would happily recommend the hotel to friends.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est excellent et très central. À noter qu'il y a plusieurs refuges à proximité (quelques coins de rues de l'hôtel. L'hôtel est très beau, intérieur historique bien entretenu au fil du temps. Nous n'avons pas été dérangé par le bruit.

The hotel was very conveniently located to many things in Old Port. The staff were very helpful. The restaurants were excellent.

Hotel Place D’Armes was in terrible condition. AC did not work properly, it was dirty and the property is old and not well maintained. I booked this hotel because it was Michelin rated. Im not trusting Michelin anymore. We stayed one night because we arrived late and there was no chance to change the hotel. The staff was helpful on what they could do.

Very nice hotel facilities and rooms, and great location. Also, very nice ambience in this boutique hotel. Various lobby areas which is a very helpful feature. My only suggestion for improvement is the customer service. Some staff were very kind. But there was a general lack of attentiveness among most staff. Would have expected more at this high end boutique.

I've stayed here three times. I really like this hotel. It's comprised of a number of separate buildings that have all been connected. It's atmospheric and comfortable. I especially like the "living room" area that has a big TV and a pool table. There's also a great spa and restaurant. You couldn't ask for a better location in Old Montreal with lots of restaurants and bars around and easy access to Chinatown just down the hill and the Metro to go even farther.

Incredible location and wonderful staff.

Well they 2 wake up calls in 3 days and they also put through 2 charges after I left the hotel without my credit card being present. I am questioning those charges because I never charged anything to my room and I had the mini bar removed the first day. I was offered a couple of drinks my last night there and if the bartender who was drinking on duty while serving guests decide to charge me behind my back that is very poor ethics as well as guest service. To pull something so deceitful. I am not impressed with the service at all. Was not told about the roof top terrace until my last night but was unable to enjoy it as the hotel had a function up there and it was closed to guests. So needless to say that I will most definitely NOT be staying at the hotel Place d'Armes in the future and the will be now good word of mouth by myself if I am ever asked about the property. I have worked in the Hotel/ Restaurant Industry for 25 years and I have never done that to any guest of mine. So I am very disappointed in their customer service.

Hôtel was phenomenal. From the valet to the concierge, everyone was wonderful. The room was beautiful, very clean, and so relaxing. The in-room breakfast we ordered was great as well, and at most hotels, it isn’t. Will absolutely stay here again!

The perfect place to stay if you want to explore Old Montreal….especially at night! Everything was only a few minutes of walking away and the view from the rooftop patio was so lovely. Highly recommend! :)
