Staff is amazing. The resort is beautiful and there is many areas you can go to. Definitely a perfect couple or family resort

Staff is always kind and happy

Staff were lovely. Food was pretty good. Grounds and beach were beautiful. Only issue was the room. Great oceanfront location, but the bathroom had a tub, where you had to step into to get a shower. VERY DATED! Room looked old, clean but old.

"The place is beautiful and overall an excellent experience. However, the only downside was the staff at the bar closest to the lobby—some of them were rude and lacked proper customer service skills. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful."

Beach was amazing

Our stay at Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort was amazing. The beach was phenomenal, pools were clean and beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Overall we would definitely go back! The rooms were nothing fancy but they were spacious and clean, and a close walk to the pool and lobby. The pool area and bars were great. Service was quick, good quality alcohol and kind and professional bartenders. Even though the hotel was sold out we had no issues finding a lounger to sit. The main pool at the Beach adults only section was quiet and very low key. If you wanted more of a party area, the Palace property is a close walk and that pool is definitely more lively with a swim up bar and music. But they also have quieter pools over there as well if that’s more your speed. The beach was absolutely amazing and again, no problems finding somewhere to sit at any time of day. The palm trees provide lots of shady spots too and the beach was clean with phenomenal warm water and barely any waves. The restaurants were just okay, but that is to be expected at an all inclusive in my opinion. The service was great and the buffets were actually better than the sit down restaurants. We stuck to the Dominican food (rice/beans/plantains) as well as the sautéed veggies and baked chicken eggs and oatmeal for breakfast all of that was really good. Some of the fish and steaks were not our favorite but we are more on the picky side as well. Again; overall a great experience!

Had a wonderful time at the resort. Food was great, staff very friendly and access to the beach was just a minute away.I hightly recommend this resort from my perspective.

Food Always cold

It was a very clean resort. Service in buffet mostly good but hit and miss.

Hotel com otima infraestrutura. Gostamos do quarto e da comida. O atendimento foi otimo exceto nos restaurantes buffets que era confuso. A praia do hotel é maravilhosa. As piscinas e restaurantes também eram bem legais. As camareiras batiam "cedo" no quarto para limpar (9h) e se nao respondesse rapido, elas tentavam entrar, o que era um pouco desconfortável. Nao tinha plaquinha para deixar na porta.

Staff was very nice. Could take a train to other affiliate resort locations. To enjoy a different atmosphere. Beach was beautiful

Did not like our experience at this hotel. We lost 1 night because of the airline and when we called to the hotel to let them know that we were going to arrive on the next day, they told us not to worry, that our room will be ready when we get there because it was already paid. When we got there, the guy at the lobby told us that we had to wait 2 hours because the check in was in 2 hours, but that they would reimburse us the lost night. Then they did the wrong check in on us because we were premium and they sent us to another office and told us to talk with the guy in premium for the reimbursememt. Well, the guy in charge of premium did absolutly nothing. And when i finally ask him to please help us amyway, meanin not with a reimbursement, but at least with some discount, late check out, anything to make us happy, he said he couldn't, which i know it is not true because i knkw for a fact that managers can give things for freee whenever they want. On top of that, we asked for the room to be clean and they didn't all they did was make the beds and peobably broom the room floor. They didn't even check the bathroom. We also sked for the towels to be changed. We were 4. They took only 3 of the dirty towels (left 1 on the floor) and took away 2 of our pool towls, which they were not supposed because if you don't return those, you won't get your card back which costs $20. Took them until the next day to get all our towels back. Really not a good experiences with this hotel at all.

Beautiful grounds, large rooms, beautiful beach

I was an the beach adult only and I think thi hotel need maintenance

The property is in need of a makeover. It’s too old.

Not a bad beach. Clean water. Not enough shelter to provide shade. Toilet stopped working periodically. No one had to fix it.

Overall it was a good experience. Very tranquil and relaxing. Not a lot of food choices. Buffet was the same every day and was prepared "average". Not bad, just not great. Staff was very helpful but limited speaking and understanding english.
