Just an overnight - but in the price we paid we did expect a breakfast to be included (in fact we did think it was until confirmation came through)!

Beautifullly situated hotel with amazing views over the water with lovely seating area to enjoy the scenery. Small, but comfortable clean room. Delicious breakfast served in no time. Staff were friendly and professional and their uniforms were so smart. Highly recommend this hotel, we’d definitely return.

The chef and the floor staff in the hotel restaurant should be complimented on their food, appearance and attention to detail. Just amazing keep up the fabulous work. The bar and lobby entrance sharp and sophisticated , I must say a special mention to the front bar with view over the bay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. For those with fur friends - there is a doggy wall of fame

e real gem in Oban- comfortable homey feel, great staff, and a breakfast that should not be missed! Also has an impressive Spa but I did not use it.

Lots of steps and no elevator to get to the room

Lite slitet men väldigt hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Saknade AC på rummet då vi var där när det var 31grader varmt ute. A la carte frukost som var VÄLDIGT god. Hotellet ligger väldigt fint, åker gärna tillbaks dit igen

The rooms are a little plain and small for the cost. Very good bedding linens.

Friendly staff and great location

Upon returning to our room after a long day of viewing the beautiful sites of Mull and Iona we found the room had not been serviced. When we inquired we were told the "do not disturb" sign was on our door. It was not! We asked for a fresh supplys of coffees, etc. It took three trys to get it. The worst part was the staff was argumentative about the do not distrub sign. It put a damper on a beautiful day.

Great views, bar and restaurant staff were great! Small but comfortable room. No AC so it got warm the days we were there. Bathroom and shower was decent.

We loved this property because the staff were incredibly friendly, the food at dinner was amazing and the view from the front deck was spectacular! ❤️

Oban Bay Hotel is excellent. The staff are brilliant, the food is 1st class and the hotel is modern and clean. It’s very close to the centre of Oban and has beautiful sea views

The Oban Bay Hotel has a fantastic location—stunning views, easy access to the waterfront, and within walking distance of the town’s best attractions. For that alone, it’s a convenient choice for exploring Oban. However, our recent family stay revealed some serious housekeeping and maintenance issues. Stained carpets, worn furniture, and a general lack of upkeep in rooms and common areas made the stay feel less comfortable than expected. For a hotel with such potential, a refresh in cleanliness and maintenance would go a long way. Additionally, while the reception staff weren’t outright rude, they often seemed indifferent or unengaged, even when approached politely (as our family always did). A warm smile, proactive assistance, and basic customer service training would significantly improve the guest experience. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome, and that starts with friendly, attentive staff. With some investment in upkeep and staff training, this could be a truly lovely hotel. As it stands, the location is its strongest asset—but the rest needs work.

I spent two nights in the Oban Bay Hotel - it’s in a beautiful location overlooking the sea front which is ideal for watching all the ferries coming and going. The staff were all helpful and friendly with a good sense of humour. The breakfasts were excellent and the French toast, bacon and maple syrup with the addition of vanilla ice cream was certainly a first for me and surprisingly delicious!! I would happily return for another break in the future.
