We enjoy our stay at Ona - thought I would do a pros and cons list Cons Not great food we did half board breaksfast was ok. We were placed in another complex so walk for food was a trek especially in the morning. A little dated apartment but ok I expected it due other reviews. Need a car to get to places ie Marbella etc Limited entertainment at the complex mainly for little ones etc Pros Good hotel for primary school aged Families Big Apartment Comfortably beds Well equipped kitchen Nice pool areas, we had choice of two Food that you pay for at the bar very good. Well stocked bar Close to supermarket Close to beach

Great location, 5 minutes to beach, supermarket & restaurants. Although the property is a little dated, the apartments are huge & well equipped with everything you need. Our apartment was over two floors with numerous balconies & great sea views. The hotel is split over two sites, with separate pools, we were at the quieter site which suited us though it did mean a 5 minute walk to the main sites facilities (pool bar, gym, restaurant, reception, breakfast). Only criticism would be the check in time (4.30pm), which is pretty late & means a bit of hanging around for a few hours! Overall, really good & we would have no hesitation in booking again.

The Property is very tiered in all areas especially the rooms and Pool area. It’s in a great location and walkable to all local amenities. The rooms and balconies aren’t very inviting and the air conditioning didn’t work well. Breakfast is excellent and front of house staff very accommodating. Unfortunately not our best choice for this location

All round fabulous facility

Arrived here on April 3rd my wife and I, the following morning we were down for breakfast return1 hour later, our room had been entered approximately €700 removed from my wife’s purse which was then carefully placed back in her handbag, went to reception to report the incident ,went to police station also, was staying in this hotel for 5 further days, was travelling with another couple, and only for that reason we would not have remained there , barricading our door at night in fear of it being entered again did not get any decent rest after that, the hotel key system showed no entering our room other than ourselves, and we know that on one occasion while being in the room someone opened the door said Hello twice and when I answered the second hello they immediately closed the door and made a quick getaway because I went to the door thinking it might be cleaning staff but they had left, checked with reception asked if our room was scheduled for a clean and was told no, anyway for our 5 remaining days there not once did Management or Senior Staff or Security (if they have any) make any effort of any kind to hear our complaint or apologise in any way, which to say we very disappointing, and gave us a good insight on what they thought of customers, The breakfast was pretty good as was the bar food, indoor pool nice and the area around the outdoor pool was nice, even the beds were comfortable if could sleep after such a horrible experience, definitely would NOT stay here again

We traveled together my wife and I and my friend and his wife, for 6 a six night stay, our stay was good enough, we arrived on the afternoon of April 3rd on the morning of April 4th between the hours of 9am and 10am approximately whilst at breakfast my friends room was entered and Approximately €700 removed from his wife purse and the purse replaced back in the handbag, his wife on returning from breakfast unaware that her handbag had her money taken and went across the road to purchase a book, but on opening her handbag and taking out her purse to pay for the purchase to her horror realised what had happened, returned to her room where her husband was on his phone and told him that her money had been removed from her purse, but while she was gone out to buy the book someone opened their room door and said hello hello and the husband said hello back as he was in the bathroom and as soon as he did the door was closed immediately, he though at that stage that it was the cleaning lady calling to do the room, when he opened the door seconds later they was no one outside It was not until his wife came back and told him her ordeal that it became obvious the thief wanted to loot further,they then proceeded to reception to report the theft, the hotel said the only record they had was of themselves entering, but my friend knows that the door was opened while he was there, never got contacted by hotel management No apology nothing absolutely horrible treatment

I like look of the hotel and swimmmng pool area. Breakfast good, room was big , clean and having needed equipments. What i did not like was noise levels from the area, due to cold weather the room was cold due to one shielded windows and stone floors causing moisture inside while there was aircondition on and e.g towels was not easy to dry, only if kept in shaded balcony hole day. Room was in the position that sun was not heating it. Warm clothes and inside shoes help a bit.

Fint hotel som dog ligger lidt udenfor Marbella - man skal køre der til. Lejlighederne er fine og veludstyrede. Nogle af bygningerne ligger 300 m fra hovedbygningen med reception og restaurant. Der er ikke forgængerfelte så man må bare gå i gennem en rundkørsel som heldigvis ikke er så trafikeret. Morgenmaden var ok med friskpresset juice og varierende smoothies. Bemærk at ikke alle faciliteter - herunder indendørs legeplads - har åbent hele året.

Good property. The room was very spacious and comfortable! The terrace was very big, and the bed was very comfy. Furniture is a little aged but absolutely fine. Indoor pool was great, and staff nice and helpful!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, vor allem am Empfang. Der Service war gut, das Apartment war groß und hell, aber es roch komisch, irgendwie modrig, nach Keller, obwohl es im ersten Stock war. Das Bett war leider zu weich, bzw. die Matratze durchgelegen. Die Situation beim Essen war gewöhnungsbedürftig: oft waren Spatzen im Raum, die sich von Buffet bedienen wollten. Die benutzen Tische wurden lang nicht aufgeräumt. An manchen Tischen war Besteck da, an machen nicht. Die Tische wurden nicht gut geputzt. Das Essen war oft ohne Geschmack und durchgekocht. Grillfleisch und -Fisch waren allerdings frisch und sehr gut. Insgesamt hätte ich etwa mehr von 4 Sterne Hotel erwartet, aber das Personal am Empfang war außergewöhnlich nett und hilfsbereit. Großes Lob dafür.

Appartement schon etwas sehr alt. Aber alles da, soweit funktionstüchtig. Einmal pro Woche wird gereinigt. Ganze Anlage sehr weitläufig. Ist man weit von Frühstück und Reception entfernt, ist man dafür nahe bei Strand und Meer. Sehr gute Lage, viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe.

Staff were all very nice however the 3 bed apartment we were given looked nothing like the 3 bed apartment on their website, when we asked why we were told they only had one that had been modernised, so in our view this was very misleading. The apartment was tired and in need of some work, the outside pool had cracked and broken tiles, the inside pool the same, the water in both pools we used was in our view a little cloudy, however we did not have any issues so assume it was just the chemicals used. The outside toilet had a broken door that you could not lock, we stopped for 4 nights, still broken when we left. Food was fine, prices were not too bad for both, entertainment was pretty good and again the staff involved were nice and friendly and good with keeping the kids amused. Location pretty good, quite a few restaurants and sho-s not too far away, beach only a short walk away too. Car parking was good although for what we were charged paying €20 a day on top was a bit cheeky we think.
