I cannot say enough good things about this visit. We were exhausted from our trip and they just were amazing and made us feel great. This place was so rejuvenating and I didn’t even get a chance to try their spa. Their attention to every little detail was awesome. I strongly urge anyone going to Ipswich to stay at this hotel. I wish I could have spent my entire trip there. It is modern in regard to the bathrooms, which I love!, they have air conditioning, everything is spotless, no mold anywhere even though they are next to harbor. So welcoming. And the harbor view from the room was fantastic. Oh and my drinks and my latte in the morning were awesome too! I will make my future uk itineraries include a visit to this hotel.

Great location. Facilities great happy nice staff Only downside was they didn’t have air con in our room. As they said listed building so couldn’t have air con. But they did have a small fan in The room Which helped a bit. Never ever wanted air con in any hotel anywhere in the world. But as England is having a heat wave in June. And having trouble sleeping in any bed room at the moment. Would have loved air con. Even if it was for just one night. Anyway. Lovely breakfast. Delicious. Staff were friendly and charming. Town was nice. Walked past Ed Sheeran pub Thomas Wolsey. Was hoping to see Ed pulling a few pints. But no such luck. Just have to go Back another time. Take a boat cruise there you won’t regret it.

Gorgeous location right on the harbour, with its own private car park too. Excellent service from the moment we parked up with a very friendly porter who helped bring all of our luggage up which was a brilliant help when travelling with a toddler! The communal areas, lobby and restaurant etc were exceptionally decorated to a high standard. We had a standard room which although it faced side on towards the car park still had a nice outlook towards the harbour. The room had plenty of space for us and our cot with room to still move around. The fan was also very much appreciated given the heatwave. The bed was very comfortable and large and it was handy having botha bath and shower. The bathroom did seem quite dated in comparison to the ground floor style, the bedroom itself was ok but still could be a bit more modern and the carpet had a couple of large stains. The breakfast was lovely and service outstanding throughout. All of the staff were so very friendly. We'd certainly return and hope to try the restaurant next time too! Quite busy traffic getting to the harbour area and the parking could be quite tight. Worth keeping windows closed so you don't get awoken by the glass bin collection trucks early in the morning (no fault of the hotel of course). Overall a great stay.

Truly wonderful staff who really understand how to make you feel welcome and comfortable without being overly ‘there’. Plenty of space to relax and be ourselves. A couple of the waiting staff outside were a little brusque for our tastes but this is splitting hairs. Spectacular location and the views over the marina are stunning. The view was well worth the money for a room upgrade in my eyes. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable. The bath was deep, filled quickly and hot enough for plenty of monkey noises getting it in! The bed was big and supportive, albeit with a worrying gap in the middle I nearly went through. The restaurant was simple, elegant and inviting. The food was a real treat. I expected good. I didn’t expect THAT good. Speaking of which, the cocktails were outstanding. We rounded off our stay with coffee in the sunshine and reflected that this will be our base whenever we’re back in Ipswich. Many thanks to everyone who made our stay so lovely.

I used to stay regularly some 4 years ago but now it’s gone downhill. Parking is charged for, breakfast is extra, bathroom amenities are cheap, no dressing gowns in rooms, quality of bar food has gone down and the atmosphere is missing. We were in 202 and got woken in the night by door slamming (several times) and noise of plant/machinery when it was open, the ground floor public/bar gents did not have a functioning locking mechanism. Comfortable bed, good staff but really not top quality anymore which for that price in Ipswich, it should be.

Lovely location and beautiful interior. Bar and restaurant food and staff very good. Room was spacious clean and comfortable for a std double. Secure parking within the harbour just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Very good value for money and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

My first stay here but not my last. Beautiful location

No air conditioning in our room and quite pricey for 1 nights stay without breakfast. Wouldnt have paid price if not attending Ed Sheeran gig. Lovely hotel but not worth price tag
