My family and I recently stayed at the Flamingo all inclusive hotel in Cancun. We were a family of 8 adults and we rented four rooms. One of the rooms needed to be changed because the air conditioning was not working. We also had issues in my deluxe ocean front room (clogged sink, clogged shower drain, curtain to the balcony did not close all the way and after maintenance came to repair it, it did not open at all and some of the room doors did not close all the way and this is a security issue which really needs to be addressed.) The hotels wifi was not very good at all. In the hotels defense, they did change two of the rooms and upgraded them, but even with the upgraded rooms there was still a lot of deferred maintenance needed and that cannot be a coincidence. When you pay for ocean views and ocean front rooms, you expect the quality of the rooms to be at a certain standard which was not the case. I would've preferred to pay more money and get a better hotel with a quality stay. The location of the hotel and the beach was great. There were a few employees like Lizardo the concierge who helped us with our issues, Edgar at the front desk and Yocowchi the food server was great and very attentive. These few employees helped to make a big difference. Sorry to say, but I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. I would really like to see the hotel be operated better and be taken better care of. Best wishes, JC
