I was a little disappointed on a couple of things, first being when I went to my room it was on the sale level as the electric car charging stations, with car owners sat staring in to my room, so I had to pull down the blackout blind for privacy, but I didn't want to I wanted day light, and the lighting in the room was poor, do dull for me. The second thing in the room that I wasn't overly happy with, is that I went to make a cup of tea and the tea spoon in the cup looked like it wasn't that clean, it actually looked like it had been in and out of someone's mouth, so no cup of tea for me. Final disappointment was the breakfast, typical cheap and nasty cooked produce, and sadly a warm buffet like so many hotels choose to provide, which resulted in my entire cooked breakfast being thrown in the bin, and a bowl of Frostys made do, not want I wanted and at £12.50 and expensive bowl of cereal, what's strange is the evening food was absolutely fine, and I wouldn't criticise anything that I had, on fact I really enjoyed it, so it shows they can produce food to a reasonable standard, so why not for breakfast, the most important meal of the day!!

Our floor was shut off so we had to go up a floor and then down the fire escape to get to our room! We had food in the hotel but the food took ages and our kids dessert came out after asking for it three times! In the room next door there was some much noise! Someone else had call security that came but instead of say that they heard them a came to see what was going on they told them someone had complained!! The guy in the room went mad and kept asking who complained!! My wife and children were in the room on their own at the time and felt unsafe. Overall it the worst stay I have ever had. When we left I did say to the receptionist who said that the manager my email me but I have heard nothing.

Stayed 1 night at the hotel. Got to our room to find dirty socks and clothes by the bed. The staff need to check the rooms properly. Television channels work intermittently.

Was basic but clean. Busy in public areas. Room service was slow and food cold when it arrived. Room are not well soundproof I could hear the man in the room next door talking on his phone!

Shower was not working properly

Room seemed liked it was recently refurbished, so was in good condition, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. Not all areas of the hotel were in such a good condition. Our dinner in the Bar and Grill was not a good experience, with no vegan options, poor quality food, mistakes with our order, and such a long wait for our food that we were offered a free round of drinks from the bar, I wouldn't eat there again if I lived locally! There wasn't enough floor staff on duty for a very busy Saturday evening. The breakfast was fine though. Overall an ok stay, but Village Hotels would not be on my list of hotels to visit again

The bathroom was starting to flood from the shower so i took out the plug to be greeted by a plug hole full of hair .which i cleaned out . please see attached picture. The breakfast was bacon that looked raw, Mushrooms that had been boiled to with an inch disintegration. When i complained didn't even get offered a refund Just i will let my manager know

The room was very clean and the hotel was very nice as well. However the room upstairs was very loud, from the time we walked into the hotel room to the next day on check out, it continued to bang, shouting, it was just like someone coming through the ceiling.

Excellent staff nothing to much trouble

Beds are comfy and a lovely big tv, staff on check in were nice. Rooms could do with a spruce up now; broken toilet seat, bit of black mould/mildew in shower, some toiletries were empty and the table lamps which used to match are a now mismatch and a bit on the rickety side. Other than that it was a pleasant enough stay as it always is, just could be better with a few tweaks and an aggressive maintenance regime in my opinion.

Hot water not working in room, room was cold and had to leave heating on all night. Asked for a mixed grill, no mixed grill available and was given a plate of chips with a steak. Poor customer service and charged the same price

Room was neglected. Not cleaned well after raising complaint to receptionist and cleaners. Hairs, makeup stains, dust and bed was left undone during “cleans”. Complained to the manager and a 50% refund on my stay was agreed,
