Our stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone was top-notch! Extremely clean, friendly, and convenient to sightseeing.

Had a great experience until 11.55 when there was people out the front of the hotel until 1.45 roaring and shouting

Todo muy muy bien, la atención excelente, agradables y atentos. Solo el cuarto que nos dieron el 117 en la madrugada había un ruido como si arrastran sillas, nunca súpe de donde salía el ruido. Pero todo muy bien. La comida espectacular!

Stayed for 7 nights the first night there was what I found out to be a “traveler” wedding which was extremely loud until nearly 6 am. Didn’t complain cause those people are dangerous. The lack of AC in the rooms and there being like 7 channels on the TV was annoying. Oh and if you want room service past like 9:00pm was given the option of a ham sandwich or a pizza the staff literally yold me I’d be better off ordering take out so I did.The stay was fine but I was disappointed seeing as I’ll be back in Athlone regularly was hoping this would have been the place to stay but I think I’ll be checking out the Sheraton next time.

Parking availability was inadequate. Porter service was excellent.

Hotel was great. The only issue we had was that we booked a river view room and we were given a suite overlooking a parking lot (king bed with 2 bunk beds and we are a couple with no kids). When we went to the front desk, they said the river views were fully booked and initially refused to give us the room we had booked. A manager was called and promptly corrected the reservation. Everything else was wonderful.

Extremely poor ventilation as the windows open only an inch, a tabletop fan was provided at my request but it did nothing to help the heat and stuffiness in the room. It was 24° outside but the room was much hotter, it felt like being in a hot car. The water from the shower and tap smelled strongly of fish, I could smell it on my skin after showering. Staff were notified but they told me they could do nothing about it. I regret wasting my money here.

Freundlicher Empfang, schönes Zimmer, großer Parkplatz. Kontinentales Frühstücksbuffet, sehr gut erreichbar, Restaurant sehr gut, viele Pubs in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar

Extra Thanks to the Breakfast crew that let us in earlier than the opening time, since we had a flight to catch in Dublin. Otherwise exactly the high standard and service on all parts as you would expect from an establishment in this price range. Room for improvement is changing the bath tub to a modern shower design.
