Unacceptable and Unsafe Experience – Avoid This Hotel. My stay at Petit Palace HotelTres in Palma de Mallorca was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I had booked a three-night stay (December 26, 27 and 28), but I ended up checking out early on the third day because the conditions were simply unbearable.
From the beginning, there were clear signs of neglect. The bathroom faucet was not working, which already showed a lack of basic maintenance. However, the situation became much worse on the second night around 11:50 PM, when the room suddenly filled with a strong rotten smell that made it impossible to stay inside comfortably. I was forced to open all the windows in the middle of the night just to be able to breathe.
I immediately tried to contact the hotel by calling the reception desk and the emergency service several times, but no one answered the phone. I then went downstairs in person, only to find that the office was completely closed, with no staff available to help. This was extremely concerning and made me feel unsafe.
Because of the smell and the complete lack of assistance, I had to sleep fully dressed, not knowing what was causing the odor or whether it was even safe to remain in the room.
This experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially for a property that presents itself as a high-end hotel. Basic maintenance, hygiene, and 24-hour assistance are non-negotiable, and Hotel Tres failed in all of them.
