The location of the hotel is great! Less than a block to St. Mark's Square and Cathedral. There are plenty of dining options nearby. However, I lost my room key and they were besides themselves because the room number is engraved into the room key card. I have NEVER stayed at a hotel that has the number in the key card. It is a ridiculous practice!

All the staff operate with a very high level of customer service. My room was comfortable, beautiful and very clean. It's in a fantastic location for restaurants, site seeing and ferries. I like that you drop your key at the desk with them before exiting each time. They not only get to know their guests, but as an individual traveler it felt like another safety check for me 24/7.

Great location. On the canal with direct access to courtyard by water taxi. No dragging luggage through narrow crowded streets. 2 minutes to St Marks Square. 5 minutes to Rialto Bridge and everything you want to see is within a 10 minute walk. Perfecto. Will stay here again in our next trip.

Amazing property, right on canal! Clean and beautiful

Hotel Dona Palace was a great place to stay. I loved having a private dock. Our trains were delayed over 5 hours so, after a long day of travel from Capri it was great to have a water taxi that pulled us right up to the hotel. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the patio was a pleasant place to sit and watch the gondolas go by. Breakfast had a nice variety in a lovely room. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The stay was excellent. Service was above and beyond. The staff was very helpful with all my transfers.

One minute walk from St. Mark’s Basilica. Relaxing patio on ground level and veranda on 2nd floor. Very quiet. Friendly staff, good breakfast, good drinks in lounge room. Rooms are typically small, well equipped. Clean. Highly recommended. Would stay again.

I booked a short weekend stay here for my wife’s birthday and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The location is extremely convenient to Piazza San Marco and is still a short walk to the Rialto Bridge area. Our room was a very good size, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a nice little balcony with a view of the canal where we could watch the gondolas float by. The breakfast buffet was spectacular with a large assortment of pastries, fruit and juices and included some egg and meat options as well. The hotel really made my wife’s birthday special as well with a wonder full dessert with a birthday candle at breakfast and when we returned to the room after a morning tour we were greeted with an ice bucket of Bellinis and a nice note wishing her a happy birthday. I will book this hotel again in a heartbeat on our next trip to Venice.

Location excellent.

Nice boutique hotel but no real public space. Solely an outdoor terrace on the canal but kind of run down. We took their best room, top floor with balcony and outdoor jacuzzi. The room was nice but the space a little odd. Breakfast food was pretty poor and the dining room not very charming. Service was excellent with staff attentive, friendly, and efficient.

Dona Palace was a lovely boutique hotel. The room was very comfortable, beautiful, quite spacious, light & bright with two windows & well appointed. The breakfast buffet was exceptional! A beautiful spread every morning in a lovely dining area. The location of the hotel is only a few mins walk to St. Mark’s square & the Doge’s Palace… very conveniently located ! Close to an excellent restaurant, Rossopromodoro, recommend by the hotel staff. Enjoyed many delicious meals there. Overall excellent stay at Dona Palace & would recommend it.

Very pretty right on a small canal

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was clean, with good air conditioning and quiet. Italian hotel rooms are generally very small by American standards and this property is no different, however it was comfortable for two adults. The bathroom itself is fairly big but it does not have countertop to layout all your toiletries and the shower is a bit small but we managed just fine. The shower has plenty of hot water and has good water pressure. The staff is very attentive. The location is less than 5 minutes to San Marcos square. They have a nice outdoor patio on a small canal where you can enjoy an aperitif before or after dinner. They offer an outstanding breakfast in a beautiful dining room. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Hotel Donà Palace to anyone planning a trip to Venice.

Stayed here for two nights while in Venice. Amazing staff, and very good breakfast. Everyone was so helpful and courteous. The room was clean and the bathroom and shower was also very clean and modern. I would def come back to this hotel. It's situated in the middle of everything and about a 5m walk from the st. Basilica. Busy area with a few restaurants around.

We had a hard time finding the hotel but it was beautiful and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Room was big and gorgeous but we could hear noise outside until 1:30 in the morning. Sounded like people moving metal furniture around and scratching the ground. Water taxi directly from the hotel to airport was amazing.

First time to Venice, such a great place to visit. Loved the hotel, lovely room clean and tidy. Slept very well. Great staff, location and service. Very much recommended and look forward to coming again very soon.
