Nice but basic. Room is spacious.

Excellent and friendly staff. Comfortable bed and clean room. Tasty food in the bar. Easy to book the pool for a swim, in fact my son and I had it all to ourselves. Very pleasant stay all round.

A little out of the way from the city centre, but that can be resolved via a short cab ride. Excellent customer service and amazing rooms make up for it and there is plenty of parking. Definitely stay here again and would highly recommend the Voco Reading by IHG.

The reception staff where very attentive nothing was to much for them. The rooms were spotless and it had everything we needed and more. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended

Everything was much as expected, friendly staff, clean tidy rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Not too busy even though the hotel is connected to the Football Stadium and there was an evening match - that did mot affect us, stadium activity did not disturb the peace of a quiet 4th floor room. Rooms not the most up-to-date but perfectly adequate. (Remember to bring your phone charger - no USB outlets in the rooms, but you can borrow from reception).

Good hotel but the room was cold - I complained and was told someone would come up and sort thing - I waiting 30 mins no one came! I phoned back to reception but was told they could warm the room centrally - no improvement so put a few layers on, I mentioned it again at reception when checking out but no gesture or offer which made the score poor!!!

When we arrived the ladies on the desk were very welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Whilst the hotel was large, the staff didn’t seem equipped to deal with more than one thing at once. Drinks at the bar took 25 mins to come to the table (we were the only table in there). At dinner we asked for some broccoli for the children as zero veg on children’s menu. They served broccoli with adult mains but the chefs refused to give any of this as a side for children. They said it was too expensive (even though we offered to pay). Fine for adults wanting a room but wouldn’t recommend for food, drinks or being family friendly.

Stay here a lot and always a pleasant hotel

Family room was fantastic. Two superking beds plus a comfy camp bed. Fantastic. Excellent menu choices in the restaurant for dinner & the staff were really attentive & friendly. A couple of things to improve on…very limited vegan options for brekkie. Our daughter is dairy-free & butter was the only option to put on toast, no margarine etc. It’s a minor point but so easy to put right.

Staffing was awful in the bar. Took half the plates left the rest until we left. Probably could have left without paying thats how much attention we got. Went to the toilet to find one of the staff members on the toilet just chilling on their phone when we had been waiting for out the rwst of out plates to be cleaned and drinks to be ordered. Awful service. Checked out, never even asked how our stay was. Ok hotel but terrible service.

Attached to Reading FC. Staff/room/food was excellent.

I did not check out the breakfast but the bar offered good choices

This was our fourth stay at the hotel, extremely busy (apparently full), service & amenities still at a high level of standards.
