I have stayed here a few times over the years and yes it’s never been the best place to stay. As they say you get what you pay for. So I thought after hearing about the multi million refurb I would give it another try. Yes the the reception area and main bar had new carpets and furniture and look good. I had room 317 (standard room) it should be recessed as bog standard with sea view. The phrase that you can’t polish a turd came to mind. If a lick of paint and new carpet is a refurb god knows what the other rooms look like. Bathroom door that won’t close without a push rusty radiator just painted over not even bothered to scrape the old paint off. The main bar closed at 7.30pm leaving only the ballroom bar open. So if you wanted a drink you had to go down stairs and bring it up to the main bar if you weren’t interested with what was going on down there. This was not very convenient for people with mobility issues of which there was plenty and moaning but nothing being done. As for the food not the best. Cheap and cheerful evening meal not much choice. Breakfast hard fried eggs well over cooked bacon and sausages which they just kept topping up by throwing the fresh out of the kitchen on top of the older food on the Buffett breakfast. No rotation whatsoever. No point in just refurbishing the structure of the hotel if you going to keep the same management and staff as nothing will ever improve on the hospitality side of things. Will I be staying here again. Definitely not.

My room was lovely and clean and adequate, but the curtains did not close st night properly, also, booking online through Expedia, its states in green letters breakfast included, but got to hotel at checkin, ihad to pay extra for breakfast not good .

We recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Llandudno and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel valued throughout our stay. The food was of excellent quality, with a good variety of choices available at each meal. Everything was well presented and very enjoyable. Our family room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with thoughtful amenities including a coffee machine, hairdryer, and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The facilities throughout the hotel were excellent and well maintained. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the outstanding sea view from our room. Having a balcony overlooking the beautiful coastline made our visit extra special, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Llandudno to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, great food, excellent facilities, and breathtaking sea views

Al llegar al Gran Hotel de Lladundo, nos entregan las llaves de la habitación número 220, una habitación pequeña, sin tina y sin las dos ventanas en las cuales se ve toda la playa. * Reservé la habitación “STANDARD FAMILY 3 ROOM”, pero al llegar a preguntar porqué no me habían reservado la habitación que seleccioné y por la cual cancelé en su totalidad me dijeron lo siguiente: * Que EXPEDIA postea las fotografías que no son las de las habitaciones que ellos le han enviado para promocionar. * Que EXPEDIA, debe ser la responsable de hacerse cargo de vender habitaciones que ellos no tiene y qué ellos, no se responsabilizan de lo qué EXPEDIA le vende a sus clientes. * Que todo reclamo no debe hacerse al hotel, sino a EXPEDIA, pues ellos dan las habitaciones que tienen. * Que puedo decir o escribir, todo lo que ellos me expresaron, pues las fotografías que les mostré, no se parecen a la habitación que me proporcionaron. * Que ellos en ningún momento, me han engañado, fue el sitio web de EXPEDIA, quien me engañó al no proporcionarme información verídica. * Que si no estaba satisfecho con la habitación, el problema es de EXPEDIA por haberme proporcionado información falsa. Me comuniqué con EXPEDIA, trataron de solucionar el incidente pero no lo lograron. El dispensador de gel del baño no servía y la manguera de la ducha, tiene fuga y el agua cae en el piso. El hotel se está desmoronando poco a poco, por fuera no le dan mantenimiento. El agente de EXPEDIA merece una felicitación

Was nent to have early book in at 2 but told no book ins until 3 did not give me a chance to explain and walked off The room very basic a bed a set of draws and wardrobe no bedside tables bed rock-hard and only one pillow the bathroom needed a good cleaning and was only given 1 towel

Shower leaked Lift didn’t work to top floor

Room was just basic. Thin walls can hear people from room next door. Creeky floors from room above. Balcony would do eith table and chairs.

Great location. Room was good for the price with a great view. Lovely and friendly staff.

Yes everything was fanastic

food was good and things were clean. There seemed to be a lot of people complaining about their rooms, which delayed our check in. Some rooms dont have showers, including ours which we got a terse response to.

The night i spent there, there was a couple living above us who returned to their room at 1am in the morning and was quarreling and shouting at he peak of their voices. I couldnt sleep till 3am. I called the front desk, no one seems to respond. No one cared. I havent stayed such kind of hotel in any part of the world.
