Adoro esse hotel. Fui para congresso. Super recomendo ficar no hotel do congresso.

Barra da Tijuca is far from the touristy areas, which appeals to me. It has a much calmer atmosphere. The hotel is within walking distance to the Sunday Farmers Market and within a cab ride away from a shopping center and the subway, which can take you to the better-known beaches of Leblon, Copacabana and Ipanema. The property was fairly clean and the staff very professional and helpful. The morning breakfast was excellent and the Saturday Feijoada buffet was not bad either. Now the bad. The hotel as some noted felt outdated. I would agree with that assessment. The hotel is not as ecofriendly as others either. It uses single use shampoo/conditioner plastic bottles instead of using the more ecofriendly in shower dispensers. The shampoo/conditioner provided were of poor quality. We ended up buying some at the grocery store. Another part that felt outdated was the in-room thermostat. It is still the old school dial instead of a digital one and there was no option to turn down the fan or set it to auto. For a high-end hotel, it did not offer family friendly rooms with queen size beds which is a shame given the room had plenty of room to support queen size beds. Another thing that I found annoying was that I was not able to charge meals to my room. The hotel did not even offer me the opportunity to have my credit card pre-approved for incidentals, which made it more difficult.

This was a wonderful location and the beach could not be closer. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was the friendliest ever!!

No momento do check-in, solicitei que o café da manhã fosse disponibilizado um pouco mais cedo no dia da minha saída, uma vez que meu voo estava marcado para antes do horário habitual de serviço. A solicitação foi compreendida e reforçada por mim na noite anterior à partida, ocasião em que me foi sugerida a entrega de uma lunch box como alternativa. A proposta foi prontamente aceita por mim. Contudo, para minha surpresa, no momento da saída, não recebi nem o café da manhã antecipado, nem a lunch box acordada. Diante da situação, precisei me dirigir ao aeroporto sem qualquer refeição, mesmo tendo pago uma diária que inclui café da manhã. A única resposta recebida do recepcionista foi um pedido de desculpas, informando que não seria possível atender à solicitação. Compreendo que imprevistos possam ocorrer, mas acredito que, caso houvesse qualquer impossibilidade, ela deveria ter sido comunicada no momento do check-in ou, ao menos, na noite anterior, quando reitero que voltei a fazer o pedido. Infelizmente, a falta de comunicação e cumprimento do combinado gerou frustração e uma má impressão sobre o serviço prestado Decepção!

Já me hospedei aqui outras vezes. O hotel é ótimo. Bem localizado. Com excelente café da manhã e restaurantes. Roupas de cama e banho de excelente qualidade. Quarto com vista lateral do mar, amplo. Armário, gavetas, espelhos. Frigo bar, cofre, secador. O restaurante do café da manhã comporta muitas pessoas sem tumulto. Volto sempre !!!

Fui a um Congresso, achei o hotel Muito bem localizado, receptivo, com ótimas instalações e café da manhã. Recomendo e voltarei.

This hotel is very outdated with mould in a lot of areas and not living to its star category. I’ve stayed here 1 night and won’t return. The staff is that sort that don’t look you in the eyes and speaks in monosyllables because they don’t take any care on providing a good service. Check in takes ages for no good reason, they just need for some reason to type and type and type and type and type some more into their computer. The bedroom is super dated, the normal superior room as only 1 smallish window with a side view of the ocean with a small TV and decor from the 80s. It is relatively big though. The bathroom is also dated and full of mould, this shouldn’t be allowed.
