Nice relaxing pool area and sauna, good food , clean and tidy rooms and helpful stuff.. An over all pleasant experience.

I was disappointed as on the website the hotel looked in a better shape than it actually is. Very misleading. It needs a total overhaul.

Great two night stay for two of my (adult) children and me in one room. Comfy beds, great (as much as you want) breakfast, good warm swimming pool, warmer whirlpool, sauna and steam room, gym, helpful staff, quiet hotel, plenty of parking, recommend.

Lovely hotel from the outside. It’s an old country hotel so decor is very dated. Staff were nice and friendly. The spa was open but no staff there and there was a sign saying the jacuzzi was closed so I didn’t bother staying. Plenty of gym equipment but only wanted to use the pool. Breakfast was good . Was very warm and only 1 window would open but slept ok. I wouldn’t stay again as too far out of Cardiff for me

Tired old place that needs some money spent on it. Bed was not comfortable at all, shower didn’t work well, everything felt ancient. After a simple check in and ligging all my stuff to the room, I had to go all the way back to reception because the key didn’t work. Lovely setting, could have great potential if refurbished and properly invested in

First time here at this spa hotel but definitely wont be the last. It was brilliant from the moment we arrived. Room was amazing and clean and staff were friendly and food was excellent too

The place needs a total makeover. And the website is misleading as the property looks better on the website. The pool it’s like being in a cave. Setting of hotel is beautiful but that’s it. Breakfast not so good too and staff uniforms very dirty. Not very encouraging to go back.

We booked last minute as an alternate to where we normally stay when visiting Newport. Very happy with the condition of the room, the grounds, and the services by the staff and management. Beautiful older legacy property set in a beautiful and quiet area with decent amenities for kids and adults.

My friend got locked in the bathroom but staff were prompt, staff friendly later on in the trip, room was nice and no issues. I stayed here after going to a concert in Cardiff and I wish I had stayed longer to make better use of the room and facilities etc.

Nice hotel with swimming pool & gym, ideally located for exploring Roman Gwent, Usk and Chepstow.

It was awful, i checked out after five hours and went home due to the condition of the building fabric

Was a really great stay , staff , excellent , food was really nice . Only downside was the deco , really needs carpets or laminate flooring , been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel with carpet in bathroom . Stayed 2 nights , both mornings got woke up 5 am with the linen truck outside my window .

First time stay to visit friends in the area. Location, cleanliness and everything overall was excellent. We would defininitly stay again.

Stayed for a wedding, was beautiful venue and room was perfect. Loved the bed soze and black out curtains. Bar staff were very friendly. Would love to come again.

Very pleasant little spa not far out of Newport, comfortable rooms, food at the bar/restaurant was good quality and reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff! Would recommend to friends.

Two nights in this lovely old house. Spacious bedroom, clean and quiet with garden views. Warm relaxing pool and spa area. Good food and great staff. Will be returning.
