Great time at the hotel. A little older and outdated, but overall wonderful location and stay.

Das Hotel wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes renoviert. Es gab sehr viele Baustellen. Die Flure im 4.OG wurden eine Woche lang nicht geputzt. Die Zimmer wurden nur oberflächlich gereinigt.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. We had an amazing time.

Disponobilità del personale scarso. Hotels el anni 80 lasciato andare. 3 piscine solo di acqua di mare e aperte al pubblico. Non ci ritornerò. Anche Mondello non ne vale la pena.

The location is spectacular with amazing views across Mondello beach. We had a great meal at the restaurant with a terrace table with spectacular views and the pool was great (only one open when we visited, 1st week of June, other shared with public pools were due to open the next week). Our room was clean and lovely with great aircon and balcony views. Access from the pool down to Crystal clear ocean. We liked the 60s decor that some found dated. The reason review not better is that our room key just wouldn’t work after the first 2 times. This is clearly a recurring problem and the staff at reception can be bordering on rude as they are clearly frustrated working in a place where basic infrastructure doesn’t work. Some staff, particularly the cleaning staff and some restaurant staff were very friendly, especially if you made the effort to speak Italian, but others were quite bad-tempered and grumpy. It doesn’t seem a happy workplace. Having said that, the price was reasonable and if all those niggles were sorted out I’m sure it would be much more expensive. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider booking again.

Struttura fatiscente che vive ancora sul passato dell’hotel 4 stelle del passato… Attualmente necessita di una profonda ristrutturazione per tornare a buon livello ATTENZIONE: molte stanze standard ed economy hanno attualmente un pavimento in materiale plastico di scarsa qualità ed arredamenti vecchi, sembra di trovarsi in una pensione 2 stelle in romagna…

The hotel is the worst among the 5 hotels we stayed in on the trip to Sicily for 10 days. It is also the worst I have ever stayed in all over Europe. It is not the cheapest though. The shower stall is extremely small with the door not sealed at all, shower head is positioned poorly resulting in flooding in the bathroom. The balcony furniture is rusty with chipped floor that is dangerous to walk on bare foot or sit on; the room doesn't have a single glass, all flimsy plastic cups. The hotel makes a big deal to give just a few cups of ice. The extra pillows were not covered with any pillowcases. The state of the hotel is beyond unsanitary and unsafe. It should be shut down for a complete gut renovation. The town Mondello is a dump. Would not recommend anyone to waste a single second.

Positive - pool area is stunning. Very clean with access to sea. 10/10 for pool area. Strange issue that pool is closed during hottest part of day 1330-1600..this may be off season - good bus connection to Palermo which means you don’t have to take your car into city madness Negative - parking is a problem. Tight not sufficient and full of places to scratch car on walls - there is parking in front of hotel if you want to risk it but you have to pay from June to Sept in high season

Wonderful oceanfront location. Walking distance to shops and local restaurants. Friendly checkin and room staff. Breakfast buffet and other menu choices at the restaurant were fantastic. Restraunt and bar manager was lovely and patient with my limited Italian language skills. Looking forward to returning to the Splendid.

2 jours à l' arrivée à la Torre puis départ vers Catane en visitant différentes choses sur le trajet et deux jours au retour avant de prendre l avion pour la France le 14 avril

The Experience Was Very Good !!!!

We arrived at 2 pm for check in and had to wait till 4.30 for a room Even then it was still.being cleaned No apology No respect shown No complimentary drink whilst waiting It was our problem Pipes in bathroom made a loud noise Sound proofing terrible in room Breakfast staff very abrupt and choice limited This hotel is not splendid

The AC in the room was insufficient. Never got below 78F in room. Had to get new room key made every time I left room. Not much in the way of dining in area, and hotel restaurant was closed for an event

The hotel has magnificent views, comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast with fresh orange juice and very nice staff. A gem.

Not worth the price

The first night the air conditioning didn’t work, but we asked them to take a look at it and they were able to fix it. It ended up being an ice box in our room but the cold was better than the heat. There was no control system, so you either have to have the air conditioning on or off. The blow dryer didn’t really work either. Other than that, the hotel was great. Pool was convenient. Breakfast was great. There wasn’t really ocean access because it didn’t seem safe to swim there, but the beach is so close. It’s walking distance to so many restaurants, grocery stores, and to the beach. They were able to call a taxi for us, which was helpful.

The stay was wonderful. Hotel could use a little updating but is still a beautiful place.

Extremely nice and helpful staff! Made for a great long weekend stay here!
