Most of the staff was unfriendly unless you were an American (they believed they were more likely to leave a tip so they concentrated their efforts with them), shoutout to Bryant in the pool and Ana at Krystal (fusion restaurant) for been kind and friendly to everyone and overall incredible people. Food was eatable but not great quality, cold beverages were super sweet and coffee felt almost burnt in all food halls. Found a big dead roach in the hallway in the afternoon, and only was removed the next day. Ice machine and an elevator near my room was broken the whole stay. A lamp felt down on some guests during breakfast one morning. Bartenders never knew when to cut people off, so we saw people getting really intoxicated in public areas, including some almost to the point of vomiting in the food hall. No one batted an eye when a kid was splashing around in the adult pool, making a lot of us feel uncomfortable. Being part of Riu Class gave us no benefits.
Rooms were clean, entertainment staff were good at their jobs. There were activities around the hotel at all times for most tastes.
