It was a loud environment - could hear doors closing at night and people rolling suitcases down the halls over us.

Prime location, right next to the State House, didn’t have a view of it but it must’ve been really nice. The lobby is inviting with great staff and an amazing scent. Room was very clean, the shower had great pressure, and bed was very very comfortable. There’s a mall on the next block and was in a very walkable area to the fountains.

The hotel overall is lovely; however, our room had two issues. 1) The shower had a considerable amount of mold in it and 2) though the view to the State House was nice, the window was so filthy we couldn’t even take a picture through the window of the gorgeous Capital building. Otherwise, all was very good.

The staff are all wonderful, from the valets to the restaurant to the front desk. The room we had was large and clean, but for the bathroom. While I do love a shower with good pressure, this was akin to a fire house that bathed the entire room in water. This had obviously happened in the past: there was water damage to the doors, walls, and floor. The tiles wobbled under your feet as you walked. That bathroom needs to be addressed by a professional.

I will stay here again if I visit Brown university again. The hotel is very nice. The staff gave me a room for early check in which I appreciate.beautiful deco of the hotel.

Very clean; staff and valet very attentive; gym was large, well equipped and clean; lots of high quality products provided in room such as cream, body wash, etc.; beds were very comfortable and clean with thick comforter (also had extra blanket in closet); surrounding area was safe and beautiful to walk around during day or evening with river views and bridges all over downtown.

Staff was awesome, hotel was nice, recent experience with hotels.com rooms is that you don’t ever get the best rooms for the price range. This room looked out on a roof top and garbage cans. Last night, I was next to the elevator bank. Tonight, I asked to change rooms because the room was very smelly.

Visit family and catch ship for a cruise

I checked in to this hotel on July 4th. I had clearly reserved a room with one king bed through Expedia, but was given a room with two queen beds instead. This was the hotel's mistake, not mine. After pointing this out, they moved us to a king room—the room we originally paid for. No apology, no explanation. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. The new room had a clogged sink that wouldn’t drain at all. We called the front desk, and it took 30 minutes for someone to show up. The engineer then spent another 30 minutes trying—and failing—to fix it. That’s a full hour of our travel time wasted because of the hotel’s lack of maintenance. Despite all this, the front desk still didn’t offer a single word of apology. Instead, they claimed the new room was an “upgrade,” even though it was on the second floor with a terrible view. Frankly, that felt like a weak excuse rather than any form of customer service. This experience was unacceptable. I will absolutely not be returning to this hotel, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere. Poor service, poor communication, and no accountability

Staffing seemed very thin. Took time to get into Internet, even with help provided. Breakfast service was vey slow. Nice property. Nice public rooms. Adequate bedroom.

Excellent location! Extremely clean and staff was fantastic. We found an area on the carpet in our room that was wet. Appeared to be from the overhead air conditioning unit. Staff offered a new room. We were only staying the one night so we declined the offer. Would highly recommended this beautiful hotel!

I will definitely be back. We had a wonderful time.

Bed was not comfortable, not enough toilet paper, no bottle water.
