Our group consisted myself and my wife, my oldest son and wife, two grown grandsons and one girl friend. At my wife's suggestion, I rented two rooms, one for the men, the other for the women. It was a great decision. The men's 4th floor room faced the beach (I think nearly all rooms face the beach.) It consisted of one king, one queen and a queen couch in two separate sleeping areas and two TVs. Nice! Out in the porch, I could see three fire pits with wood fires actively burning ready for hotdogs or somemores. (Nice). The king I slept in was very comfortable (nice nice); the bath was clean and very functional. I loved the fact that when I rose early and was thr first to shower (6AM), there was no wait for hot water, obviously because this motel was built with hotwater circulating pumps (very nice!). The other men took showers before bed and did not leave a dry towel; I'm not sure there were 4 towels to begin with, so advise checking this if you have many people sharing the room. I got up early to watch the sun rise over Lake Huron, and the quickly changing view of the ferry landings with the Mackinaw bridge in the background. A great time for prayer and meditation. Though the sand on the beach is mixed with small stones and the water's edge was rocky and not the best place for swimming, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay there again!

I was very impressed by the spacious room we booked, which contained a king and queen beds, as well as a sofa bed. This worked very well for our family of 5. I especially appreciated the balcony and the fact that you could open the window, which is a rare find these days. The breakfast was a little disappointing in terms of quality but it was well stocked. My only other complaint was that the air conditioning was insanely cold in our room when we first arrived. Luckily we could open the doors and window, and turn on the heat to make it comfortable for the night.

The water slides are closed down and looks like they have been for a while. So, that was kind of a bummer.

The room was very spacious and had daily housekeeping service. Nice view of the lake The mattress was old and uncomforable. The beach area could also use some visual appeal. It was not very inviting. Clise to town

I was very surprised that although highly rated, the bathroom was dirty and two out of the four towels smelled as if they have not been washed. Smelled of heavy cologne. Shower was not working and was dirty. Bathroom sink was missing stopper and cracked sink.

Nice property, clean and quiet

Property is old and dated. Not the nicest place and therefore just seems gross.

This hotel surprised me in a good way. The decor needs an upgrade, but the rooms are big and the staff is great. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Great location right on the beach of Lake Huron with fantastic views of the sunrise. The property was captured well in the photos on Expedia. Great place stay to catch a shuttle for the Ferry to Mackinac Island.

It was a great stay and view right onthw beach with door from room leading out Saturday fireworks right out back we will stay again

The room set up was nice for a family. The room was somewhat updated, but also a bit worn/used. It’s about a mile walk to town/shopping. Sidewalks under construction so it makes it a little hard to pull in and walk

Nice room. Smells fresh and clean. Comfy bed. Nice view from the private balcony. Beach area with firepits and lounger chairs. Pleasant staff.

Room was not cleaned at all!

We got 4th floor beach view! Kind of disappointed we did not know about the fire pits on the beach but we got there late. Downfall is no free breakfast and the bugs, but it was good views of the bridge! Will stay again

It was alright the bathroom was missing some baseboard trim and it wasnt very clean overall.

It was quite lovely, beachfront seating, the hot tub was nice, the beds comfy, and the water pressure was incredible. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff was helpful and the suite itself was very nice--well laid out and spacious, with neat lighting, plus a patio with a really nice view of the water. On the downside, the room's soundproofing was absolutely not what it should have been. In the interior room closest to the hallway, you could hear doors slamming, people talking, kids screaming and running, all clear as a bell. Woke me up way early every day I was there. My fellow light sleepers, look elsewhere.
