I recently stayed here and felt the hotel itself was pretty run down, especially for the price of $299.34 per night. The bathroom mirror had a broken corner with paint on it, there was no hair dryer or laundry bag provided, and the freezer coil in the fridge was over-frozen. The water ran extremely hot in a way that seemed unsafe, and the complimentary toiletries were very small and not great quality. The carpet in the hallways is clearly worn, and the elevator flooring could really use some repairs.
That said, there were a few bright spots. The water park was excellent, clean, fun, and well maintained. Breakfast was generous, and I appreciated the convenience of having restaurants in the building. Being connected to the Alerus Center was also a major plus. Overall, the amenities helped balance out the stay, but the hotel itself could use some serious updates or should consider changing the price.
