All lovely, except, greatly miffed by the fact that the King room / bed was exactly the same as the Double room / bed, yet I paid £50 more for the King room / bed.

I booked a double room for my son, and a king for myself and my husband. The king cost £50 more than the double. However, both rooms /beds were exactly the same. I felt a bit conned. Having said that, the actual hotel was lovely, and . The staff were very friendly.

Room very clean excellent facilties however there were 3 steps up to first level which wasnt explained clearly on check in ..could have been a problem for some . food and bar quite expensive. Breakfast wasnt explained how or what to do.. just told to take a seat anywhere. Had to ask for cindiments which were brought to table and for extra sugar for tea .

I book this hotel on behalf of my dad regularly. It is almost faultless in terms of service, room comfort. He would recommend spending a little extra and staying in rooms in the annexe area.

A great welcome after a long delayed trip. Our room was excellent, clean tidy with comfortable beds & quality bedding. Super large walk in shower room. Breakfast was superb. Staff very helpful & friendly. The location is perfect for a 10 minute walk into Barnstaple town centre along the promenade by the river. An excellent stay, shame it was only for one night. Highly recommend.

We really liked this hotel and the A/C in summer. The 2 ev chargers weren't mentioned beforehand so it was a nice suprise to be able to slow charge at the hotel. The app for the chargers is Smappee. Staff were great. The food was great. We'd stay again.

One night stay, the staff were friendly, had a dessert which was nice , big portion. Good parking. The downfall was the bedroom, had a disgusting mouldy smell , that even with windows open would not go , it was awful . Bathroom floor was dirty with hair all over it, Only upside was bed was comfy and clean sheets . Grubby carpets and very dated furniture, very cramp .

Excellent housekeeping, staff service and breakfast and bar staff attentive. Rooms a little tight for a family, more of a business hotel.

The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with the only downside being the design of the bathroom where when using the toilet your feet are touching the shower tray.
