Lovely hotel. When arriving the staff were friendly and helpful as we were there hours before check in. The rooms are basic with toiletries but very clean . Alcohol was reasonability priced as we expected higher prices due to it being a wedding venue. For the price with breakfast and free parking it was spot on. We was able to leave the car and get a uber into York which was between £15-£20. Would definitely stay again.

My Husband and I stayed at the hotel as a base to visit York. We were very pleased with the breakfast provided within the cost of our stay along with the additional evening meals provided. We found the staff very friendly and approachable. The room was clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable.

Very nice stay in this hotel. Friendly staff. Great location. Enjoyed the use of the games room with table tennis, darts and snooker. Breakfast was good if you want a full English breakfast (would have been better with croissants) Great value for money! Would stay again.

Brilliant relaxing 3 night stay If you want some peace and quiet and a base for York then this is the place .. Brilliant bird of prey sanctuary behind it also. 9 mile drive or taxi ride into York ( 30 mins) Will definitely return…

First class

Lovely place, the size of a travel lodge but the refinement of high end. Dining really good. Lovely stay.

Great location and reasonably priced rooms for BH weekend. All staff friendly. Could do with a little update of rooms, TV very small for size of room.

A country home feel with hotel style rooms make this a peaceful stay. Off the beaten track but within a short drive to some alternative restaurants make this a decent overnight option. We selected this so we could visit York and yet be ‘in the country’. Room was basic but comfy. One note. Many doors around give access to the car park - but they are only marked emergency exit and you have to walk in / out of the main doors. Inconvenient with luggage.

Out side of building needs a make over , inside ok , evening food was amazing, breakfast was so so , the two main waiters, great guy’s and friendly

Stay was fine, friendly staff, clean room but unfortunately the pillows were horrendous, most didnt have protection on and they definitely need to upgrade to decent one's not stained. I slept with a towel over the top of them. Same with the mattress protector on bed , had marks so again slept on a towel. The quilts could definitely do with an upgrade

Bed rather hard as i suffer from a bad back .i didn't get much sleep as i couldn't get convertible

Fantastic location and very well managed from reception to food hall . The guys who were on the food hall were extremely professional in there manner and cleanliness, immaculate dressed with a touch off class in how they managed each table with kind politeness
