We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was full of character being a Listed Building and The Manager, Tony, gave us a wonderful guided tour of all 15 the bedrooms and the spa in the cellar (which was beautiful). Dinner was absolutely amazing - plus one of the best Full English breakfasts I've ever tasted. The bed was super-comfortable and the bedroom was huge, spacious and beautifully decorated - no two bedrooms were the same - which added to the charm of the hotel. Lovely lounge and fantastic bar and simply a lovely ambiance overall. A huge car park and we had a really warm welcome from Tony when we arrived offering to help carry our luggage. We would have loved to have used the spa but arrived late Friday and were visiting Silverstone on the Saturday for the Michelin Le Mans Cup (my boss is a racing driver in his spare time) and our only regret was not being able to stay longer at this beautiful, relaxing hotel with really kind and lovely staff.

The bed was super comfortable, the host gave us the extra towels we requested without hesitation and waited for us to check in. We reserved breakfast for 9:30 am, and came in early but the breakfast room tables were full. The host took our coffee orders so we could enjoy our coffee while we waited. Breakfast was made to order and tasty.

Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good.

We booked the hotel as we were visiting somewhere local. The staff, rooms, dining room and the grounds were amazing. This hotel is a little hidden gem and we will be back. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.

Ok for a stop over in Milton k

Lovely hotel staff very friendly and helpful we had a meal in the restaurant which was superb. I would definitely stop again. The only problem we had the bedroom window would not close properly unfortunately that nite it was very windy causing a draft.

Great hotel, price is so good for standard of property, a livley little bar on the night serrving great food and that quality is mirrored in breakfast which is included in price! Hubert makes your stay so good, funny , freindly and cant wait to go back again.

What a lovely place! A little off the beaten track, but so glad we found it. A very friendly welcome, great room, roll-top bath and separate shower. Comfortable bed, mini-fridge and T.V. We ate in the restaurant on the first night, very well looked after by George, and enjoyed the excellent food and wine. Had a smaller meal from the bar menu on the second night, also excellent. Lovely people, excellent venue, a couple of tiny additions would be nice, a shelf in the shower and maybe a small table in the bathroom, but otherwise, a great stay. Many thanks.

Stayed here for one night as part of a longer trip throughout the Midlands. Tony was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Good breakfast, nice room. Would stay again

We had a nice stay, friendly staff, Hubert was really friendly and good company behind the bar! We ate the first night there , and the food was good! It was a bit quiet when we were there, but it was a grey week in October! The bar area was lovely and we would like to go back maybe in a more populated month.
