Didnt have breakfast

A lovely place to stay within easy walking distance of the city. Staff were polite and efficient. Rooms were warm and spotlessly clean. The shower was wonderful except for the slipperiness of the floor which would have benefited from a non slip mat. I have recently broken my wrist so would have benefited from a grab rail too

Prima kamer, hier en daar wat stoffig en ontbrak een beetje aan een koelkast. Verder erg vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en perfecte ligging.

The staff were all really friendly and attentive. I requested an outdoor dome pagoda for me and my daughter to have our evening meal in and they were more than happy to help. The room was very clean and the decor was stylish. We had a lovely stay.

Unfortunately, on both days of my stay the water in the room was cold. I contacted the concierge on the first day, who kindly came to the room and confirmed the issue. I was reassured that it would be resolved. However, the same problem occurred again on the second day. I requested that the matter be escalated to the manager and asked to receive an email confirming that the issue would be investigated and addressed. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response. I followed up with the staff once more, but again no reply was provided. It is a lovely family hotel, and overall the atmosphere is pleasant. However, it was disappointing to feel that my concerns were not acknowledged or followed up appropriately.

Nice hotel. Staff are friendly. Location is good walking distance to York city centre. Nice facilities. Wifi is weak. I had a room next to railway but it was not bad. Parking is a bit difficult and had to pay daily.

The room we stayed in was lovely and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the food - both dinner in the restaurant and breakfast each morning! We would definitely stay again!

Room was fairly small, but then we did stay in a small double. Very clean. Great deep bath. Staff were really friendly. Great location for York City Centre. Would definitely stay again but in a bigger room.
