Clean and comfortbale room. Good value for money. Excellent breakfast. Lovely location.

Lovely room and stunning grounds.

No warning about the jacuzzi not working, I was not best pleased about this. I came last year it was working, but I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

Hotel very tired and the rooms sub standard

This hotel turned out to be quite deceiving. From the outside it looked grand when you walk up to it, but in reality it was tired with a 70s/80s building on the side which is where we stayed. Branded as a spa hotel, the spa side was tiny, old and very dated. The pool was very small, the jacuzzi wasnt working and empty. The sauna was tiny, with a door that was hanging off the hinges and had scraped the floor. In the changing room, very few of the lockers worked. The room we had was very small but clean. Unfortunately there was a wedding the night we stayed, so there were lot of people about. What I can say about this hotel, the staff were lovely. They were all very friendly and polite, considering how busy they were with the wedding that was going on. The food was also excellent. It was just a shame about the spa.

The staff were excellent. They were really friendly and helpful and did the hotel proud. The hotel is in a nice setting and location. The bar and breakfast were good. It was lovely to meet Clyde the hotel cat as well.

The breakfast was great on the whole, although I would’ve liked a wider array of cheeses on offer and cold cuts of meat. It was really pet friendly and I brought my cavapoo so thank you. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially the sales manager and the front reception staff. They were very keen to help. I was really impressed with the location and the grounds which was ideal for doggies and the vintage heritage railway station and classic trains just round the corner at was a wonderful surprising bonus.

I would change the seal around a bath. Too moldy.

I booked via Hotels.com, looking for somewhere to stay as making a local delivery, this place was fantastic value for money, thoroughly recommend

There was a slight confusion with the room allocation, which the reception staff on Friday evening rectified with consideration and courtesy. The room was prepared to a very high standard. Our stay was for two night's (bed/breakfast). The buffet style breakfast was to a very high standard, fresh and hot. All the hotel staff were courteous, polite and deticated to delivering a perfect customer experience. Would recommend this hotel very highly.

Lovely hotel very chilled out atmosphere highly recommend

The room was lovely spacious and clean. There a lot of steps going up and down to get around inside the hotel. Not good with my bad hips. There were a few parties on and not enough staff all used the one bar, and as paying guests there should have been another way to make sure we were served first. That was a bit annoying to br fair, the food was ok we had the curry but was more like tomato soup with chicken. Drinks were very expensive but suppose it’s a hotel. Staff well some were friendly but most weren’t no good morning or hello from them at all. The pool is nice small but was only me and husband in it for a bit so that was ok. It is a lovely place and a lovely two day stay for us

Very good but other parties and the bar area was very noisy. Fighting in the corridors by other guests during the night was very unnerving
