Fordoun was just the most wonderful stay for me travelling solo. The spa is superb and my room was just divine! Felt like home and so comfortable and classy! A haven in the midlands . The staff went beyond and Jules the manager was exceptionally kind and helpful. i would definitely stay there every time I return to South Africa.

Location, service, Spa all were excellent and staff were great. We spent a relaxing 3 days at Fordoun.

On the surface this property is set on lovely grounds but take a look closer and the service could be far better for the price we paid. we got to the spa for 10:30am one morning and the umbrellas were not up, sun beds didn’t have their mattress laid until after 11am. There isn’t poolside service for drinks. I had booked two rooms as I had my parents stay as well, we were visiting for an onsite welding. The second room didn’t have shower-gel topped up on entering and the safe was not unlocked from a previous stay. The turn down service was lovely but they kept turning up the heating to 24degrees along with the under floor heating, which was not necessary as we live in the uk it was not heating weather for us. Service st breakfast was brilliant from the staff and food was lovely, no complaints here. Generally staff around the resort are friendly and helpful but service/attention to detail needs improvement as mentioned. Would I stay here again, not for the price we paid I’m afraid, I would expect far more of a luxury feel and service to be upgraded, being used to those levels in the uk, for price paid.

Our stay was lovely, the superior suite was nice and spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and food was awesome! The grounds are beautifully kept. We had spa treatments which we enjoyed. Overall a lovely, relaxing weekend away

A wonderful mid winter break. Cosy and felt pampered. Wonderul room and little nicieties added to the stay. Staff were professional and friendly. Well recommended.

STAY WAS LOVELY. WAS DISSAPPOINTED WITH THE WATER PRESSURE IN THE ROOM SHOWER. FLOTATION POOL WAS OUT OF ORDER AND THE POOL WATER WAS NOT HEATED.

Fantastic hotel and staff. We always love coming to Fordoun. The food was amazing.
