Very good over all , lovely stay

Very nice hotel ,but attention to detail needs to be looked at .especially for a 4 star hotel

We stayed at the Sea Marge for one night, one of the hottest days of the year. No one offered to help us with our bags, just gave directions to the lift. Our room was located on the second floor, a Supreme double room with Sea view. Sure enough we had the sea view but through a small window, where only one section opened to let some air in. The ensuite bathroom is seriously quirky, tiny handbasin and small loo, the shower situated in a box shaped bath with high sides, set under the eaves, so not easy to get into and very difficult to stand under the shower which was positioned in a peculiar position on the eaves. Altogether very disappointing and had I booked a longer stay I would have been extremely unhappy. The carpet was dirty by the door, coffee machine didn't work properly. Positives were clean sheets, comfortable pillows and fluffy towels. Nevertheless this room did not reflect the price.

The Sea Marge is a very relaxing hotel and has a lovely terrace. The room was very clean and had plenty of space. Staff are very friendly.

Staff were quite aggressive towards it's paying guests, certainly not customer friendly with the exception of the Breakfast waitress. I didn't really think that the hotel was 4 star, I've been it higher standard 2 star hotels. The breakfast was the best bit about the hotel.

Room was welcoming and very clean. Bed was super comfortable, towels were soft and the breakfast was tasty.

Beautiful place, room with a sea view. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel and give it a five star,

Friendly staff, fantastic setting, good food

A great hotel with plenty of character. The terrace outside was a great place for an evening drink is that late summer sunshine. As with many old hotels the heating was not quite up to scratch. What was disappointing was that when I asked for a room heater the only thing that was supplied was a tiny 650W heater. It would have required something 4 times as powerful to make any impact on the large edwardian bedroom. Subsequently the bedroom was cold in the evening.

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel fascinating building which is impressive. Attention to detail at every level, we ate at the restaurant for two nights food was excellent as was the breakfast. The rooms are tasteful well appointed, comfy bed and excellent bathroom. Without exception every member of staff were friendly, attentive, polite and made us feel relaxed. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely two night stay at the hotel, our accommodation was in the Garden Cottage. Friendly, helpful staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

hotel had a great atmosphere with really friendly and professional staff

Its a nice old building with good history very interesting there was lots off old cop webs in the windows and dust on the shelves in the bathroom it was allot off money and we thought breakfast was including we know for next time . Ps the staff was brilliant and friendly and helpful

Charming old half timber building. Great terrace garden and sea views . Room spacious, clean, bathroom modern and clean . Lovely Breakfast , plenty to choose from.

Property would be better if there was a ramp accustom the car park into the property especially for disabled guests.
