Nice setting near to the motorway

A very enjoyable stay with great food and hospitality

Allocated room was nice but very hot, the radiator was broken so could not be turned down or off. I was given another room which looked to be an upgrade, for no extra cost. Customer service very good. Plenty of car parking space. Comfortable bed and very clean.

A stunning 15th century property. Extremely pleasant staff and the food is first class! I will make it my regular place to stay when in the area

We have been returning customers for over twenty years. However, this time we were put in a room which we felt was too small and we considered inadequate. There was no room to put our suitcases, there was no wardrobe and the short rail provided had only two hangers. There was no easy chair where one could sit and read, also the room was too hot and the thermostatic valves on the radiators did not work. We were booked and paid for three nights, but left after only two. Sadly we are very unlikely to return.

Very nice hotel with lots of atmosphere

Bathroom had steps up to it and no overhead shower.

The lamb kekabs were super chewy unfortunately, but other meals were good . Nice atmosphere there, outside area was very nice and so was the little bar

Take an eye mask. The room had no window blind.

On the outside the hotel looks nice, but how looks can be deceiving. Went upstairs to the room, the room door was filthy. Got inside and from a distance everything looked ok. The bed was lopsided and lumpy, the bathroom was a whole new level of dirty. Mould around all the shower tray the overhead rainfall shower didnt work. The water took nearly 15mins to warm up and it was barely a drizzle. All mould around the windows cobwebs everywhere. This was supposedly a regal suite????? Just glad it came out of my business pocket and not my own.

Breakfast was excellent. Lleft room bizarre all in black with stars in black ceiling. Needed some maintenance. Staff really friendly

Great stay staff excellent. Great food but perhaps need slightly wider choice. Grill menu for instance.

The staff were very welcoming and quick to respond to queries / questions and they made my mum’s birthday special.

Stunning 16 century building with gorgeous stone cottages that actually look like the pictures online! Angelina at reception was fantastic and the restaurant was excellent. Just duck as you walk round and through the doorways as the Elizabethans were much shorter!

Good Location, nice property but the water pressure in the bathroom was apalling
