Room 7 decent size...very comfy bed, moderate shower. Good tea and coffee making facilities....excellent breakfast. Property in need of a refurbishment.....old windows that i think in winter will let in a lot of cold air. All staff i met were friendly and helpful. Probably would stay again at the price level.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, esp breakfast, catering for fussy eater. The sofa bed in the room wasn’t very comfortable, needs replacing.

Good choice of evening meals, staff very friendly and service great. Breakfast was very filling and set you up for the day. An ideal base for visiting loads of local attractions. Thanks to all the staff and their warm welcome.

Pleasant country pub in a nice area. Comfortable room and bed with very clean bedding. The bathroom was adequate but had a poor shower. Friendly and helpful staff. The cooked breakfast had quality ingredients and was outstanding. Our stay was great value for money and would recommend.

Nice character building in quiet village very conveniently situated off A64. Parking available. Friendly reception & swift check in. I was in spacious en-suite room. Basic standard of furnishings/good level of cleanliness & amenities. Good Wi-Fi connection. Good enough breakfast (table served) Very friendly/relaxed atmosphere/staff throughout with special mention for "Jill." Overall very good value stay thank you.

Nice room at a reasonable price. Nice and quiet at night. Slept well. Tasty breakfast included. Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Ate here for tea. Had sticky pork belly bites, burger, crab and apple crumble. Everything was great. The homemade chunky chips were really good. Nice selection of beers including some local cask ales. Good location. Short walk to Malton centre and markets.

Hotel was fine

Lovely little traditional pub with rooms. The room I was in was very cosy, but had plenty of space. Really comfortable bed and also a chair to enjoy a relaxing sit down and a cup of tea. Some noise from the bar on the Friday evening, but not going on until very late. Good, locally sourced breakfast and friendly staff.

Sorry - but the mattress we had in our room was really uncomfortable, you could feel all the springs.

Bed was most uncomfortable we have ever had. Shower was very weak.
