The Rocpool is a great place to stay in Inverness. It’s walkable into town, with a little uphill climb. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the room itself was very comfortable. The A/C was a huge plus since it was unusually warm during our stay. We had to leave before breakfast one morning for a day trip, and the hotel thoughtfully packed pastries, fruit, and sandwiches for us to take along, which we really appreciated. The hotel was also impressively quiet; it honestly felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. My only critique is the complete lack of counter space in the bathroom. I mean literally none. We had to keep all of our toiletries balanced on the edge of the tub. The trough sink looks nice aesthetically, but not at the expense of having any usable space.

Helpful staff

Staff & breakfast were wonderful. The rooms have deferred maintenance & need freshening. More drawer storage is needed. Didn’t feel it deserved the 5 star rating or the price.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast

Manager that checked us in secured us an early dinner reservation at Fig & Thistle restaurant (quite good and just a short walk from the hotel) on a busy Saturday evening. Food and service for breakfast the next day was excellent!

Loved our stay!

Everything was perfect, the staff were lovely and attentive, the room beautifully clean and fabulously luxurious the breakfast devine. From beginning to end our stay was wonderful, a wonderful treat. Thank you

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff.

Good Points: Welcomed on arrival, shown to room. Bed comfy and room quiet. Meal and drink in bar was good. Great internet. General atmosphere and great designs, especially the sofa! Staff were really accommodating. Bad Points: The room was clean, however, the bin had not been emptied and was full of the last guests rubbish. The light in the bathroom flashed a lot and the night lights are very bright. No instructions for the Jacuzzi. TV too low to be seen if laying in bed. They forgot us at breakfast. Placed our order and had continental but our cooked order did not arrive. No one checked on us until the end of service. They then hastily made us breakfast as restaurant was closed. It did taste nice!

We absolutely loved our stay at Rocpool Reserve. The staff was some of the friendliest we’ve ever met, and they are truly willing to go above and beyond to accommodate your stay! One morning, when we were leaving early for a day trip, they packed us a breakfast without us even asking. Next level kindness and attention to detail!

Property is in a nice quiet area and walkable to the river and town. The facilities however need an upgrade vintage 1950’s furniture and bedding. Shower also broken and no maintenance on site for repair..
