Not far from town centre maybe 10-15 min walk. Local shops nearby

We usually stay here when we visit York The hotel is in a great location. It's a five minute walk into town and it has a good carpark at the back. The breakfasts are not what they once were but with all the choice in York, it's no problem.

We actually spent most of our x2 days in a hospital so did not really get a chance to see York. There were a few situations where the staff were excellent, like producing an ice pack with the vacuum machine (on x2 occasions) and helping us with food late at night, a great room and great service

Room was perfect. Very clean and very quiet. Dtaff were very approachable and welcoming

The hotel was lovely, clean and inviting. Only downside was the air conditioning in the room was really loud so had interrupted sleep. Plus when checking out there was no one at reception for a good 10 minutes, there was a queue of people by the time someone actually turned up which I thought was unprofessional. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Hotel was a little quirky but staff were pleasant and helpfull. Dinner was good but not exceptional but overall a relaxed snd enjoyable place to stay.
